I have an itch and don't want to just write flash fiction. IDK if I'm going to use this prompt table for all the same people, but I'm going to start with some Teen Wolf and Leverage because that's where my brain is I lied, this is turning into a Teen Wolf/TVDverse Soulmate AU collection, I'm just indulging my bliss here.

Q ~ tyler/elena ~ teen wolf/tvdverse ~ 1,677
Can we trust him?
Elena scribbles the words on a notepad on the island as the two boys Peter brought with him enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Peter tells them his story. Malivore, the deal he made, all of it. She and Tyler are on the opposite side of the island, eyeing him warily. He seems so unflappable, a cool confidence to him, but she can see where the pieces of that act are fraying. He’s cracking under the surface, and she isn’t sure if that’s a good or bad thing.
“Look, I get you don’t know if you can trust me. This story of my actions doesn’t exactly paint me in the best light.” Peter crosses his arms in front of his chest as he studies them, leaning casually against the opposite wall. “But I think me not doing exactly what you wanted me to do should earn me some brownie points, no?”
Elena raises an eyebrow at her partner, and Tyler draws the pad away from her, scribbling his own message under her question: Call Caroline. She nods, ripping off the top page and tucking it into her back pocket.
“I’m going to make sure the rooms are ready for you all. You sure you don’t want something to eat, Peter?”
“I’m fine.”
“Okay. I’ll be right back.”
She makes her way upstairs, grabbing fresh linens for both the twins’ room and one of the guest rooms. Then, she ducks inside the former and closes the soundproof door behind her with a heavy sigh. It’s hard not to feel the weariness of yet another disaster finding its way to her doorstep. Sitting on the edge of Josie’s bed, she pulls out her phone and calls her best friend.
“Elena?”
“Hey. So—a guy claiming to be Peter Hale just showed up on our doorstep with two seven-year-olds.”
“Oh, my god—you have Landon?”
Elena straightens in surprise. “You know about Landon?”
“Yeah.” There’s a long pause, before Caroline comes clean with: “I have Derek.”
“Oh.” A beat. “Oh. Are you okay?”
“Debatable, but we’re figuring it out. You’re going to want to lock Peter up, though.”
Elena’s eyes narrow. “What? Why?”
“Because there’s a compulsion attached to this deal he made. Malivore wants what it was promised. The knife that Derek came for is at the school still, but he realized he was essentially sleepwalking to go get it, so we had to put him in the werewolf rooms.”
“I don’t know if Peter is going to go for that.”
“Then that’s probably the test of if he actually has good intentions, whether or not the kids are there.”
“True.” She turns and flops back against the pillows. “Okay. I’ll broach that with him when I head downstairs.”
“I’ll grab the knife and Derek, and head out to you. It might be better if we try to get all four of them into one place.”
“Good idea.”
“Call Stiles. I had put him on the case when Derek told us about Landon, and he has Malia and Jeremy with him. Malia is supposedly Peter’s daughter—she might help keep him in line.”
“On it. And be careful, Caroline. If there’s compulsion involved, putting the knife and Derek in the same car might not be the best idea.”
“Good point. I’ll figure it out. You be careful too. Out of the two of them, Peter is the one who’s the most objectively dangerous.”
Elena hangs up, before pulling up Stiles’ number and placing her phone to her ear again. It rings twice before the familiar voice appears. “Elena, what’s up?”
“I have Peter Hale.”
“What?” There’s the sound of brakes squealing on the other end of the line and complaints from the other people in the car. “Hold on, putting you on speaker. Say that again.”
“Peter Hale came to the compound.”
“What about the kids?”
“Landon and Rafael? They’re here. They’re safe.” For now, at least. “I talked to Caroline, so we’re going to find somewhere to lock him in, but we need to come up with a plan. And we can’t let Malivore get any of the things he wants.”
“So we need to track down Allison and Freya. Do we know what they’re after?”
“Peter says there’s an urn and another knife. Where we’re going to find them, though, I don’t know.”
“Okay. Here’s what we’re going to do. I’m going to use my FBI resources to track them down. I’m sending Malia and Jeremy to you, so you have some backup.”
“What about you having back up?” Jeremy rightly pointed out, so that Elena didn’t have to.
“It’s one witch and a human. What do I need backup for?”
“That witch is a Mikaelson,” Elena points out. “Underestimating them did no one any favors.”
“Fine. Is there anyone you would suggest?”
“Bonnie might come to me, so if you want someone with a law enforcement experience, maybe Matt?”
“I’ll text him,” Jeremy replies, leaning away from the phone. “But until we get there, Elena, be careful. This could still be some kind of trap.”
“I know.” Elena pinches the bridge of her nose. “I’ll figure it out. Stiles, be careful.”
“I will. I’ll keep you guys in a loop. Group text incoming.”
Elena hangs up again and gets to actual work setting up the rooms. Once both are ready, she makes her way back downstairs and offers both men a smile. “The rooms are ready. Ty, could you take the kids upstairs while Peter and I talk?”
“Yeah, of course.” Tyler passes her the dirty plates from the PB&J and takes both boys by the hand. “C’mon guys. Let’s get you settled in.”
Peter watches as the three of them exit, before turning back to her with a raised eyebrow. “Suddenly you trust me to be alone with you?”
“Not exactly.” Elena crosses her arms in front of her chest, leaning back against the counter. “But I’m choosing to take you at your word. Hopefully, you won’t make me regret it.”
Peter glances away from her briefly, before nodding. “So what did Stiles say?”
“You assumed that I’d call Stiles.”
“Stiles is the one sent after me with Jeremy and Malia. He’s the most logical choice from my perspective.”
“I called Caroline first. She has Derek. And she told me that Malivore isn’t just taking you at your word. There’s a compulsion involved.” Elena tips her head to the side. “I guess my question is, how much do you want to protect those boys?”
Peter’s jaw tenses as he stares at her, blue eyes peering into her own. She knows she doesn’t stand a chance if he asserts his dominance over her. She’s human, and a fragile one at that. One flick of his claws, and it all would be over. But in the end, he straightens and his shoulders relax. “What would you suggest?”
“We spell the rooms with protection spells. I also have mountain ash traps built into the door frames. And the rooms are quite spacious. That’s the more comfortable option.”
“And the less comfortable option?”
“We have a locked room for werewolf transformations. Should be secure enough to hold you, but does lack the queen-sized bed.”
Peter nods with a deep breath. “I think I’ll go with option A.”
“Thank you.” Elena gestures for him to follow her up the stairs. “You’re making the right choice.”
“I know.” Peter rolls his shoulders as he follows her. “It’s the option I don’t like.”
Once Peter is sealed in his room with a stack of books and a tablet to keep him entertained, she makes her way over to the twins’ room. Tyler has both of them tucked in, and she smiles as she knocks on the door lightly.
“Everybody comfy?”
“Yeah,” Landon says with a nod.
“Good.” Elena sighs. “Sorry, it’s a little girly. The people who usually sleep in here are twin girls.”
“It’s okay. It’s not the worst place we’ve ever slept,” Rafael says as he snuggles back into the pillow. Elena’s heart breaks some at the suggestion, and Tyler gives her hand a squeeze as he gets closer.
“Do you guys need anything before lights out?”
Landon looks over at the two adults, then back at Rafael. “Peter isn’t a real social worker, is he?”
Elena looks at Tyler briefly, before turning back to them and shaking her head. “No, he’s not.”
“So you guys aren’t going to be our new foster family?”
Elena’s heart sinks even further. “No. Unfortunately, we’re not.”
“That sucks,” Rafael comments.
“Yeah, it does.” Elena swallows back her disappointment before placing her hand on the door frame. “You guys sleep well, okay? If you need anything, we’re right down the hall.”
“Okay. Good night.”
“Night, boys.” She closes the door behind her and Tyler and then flips the switch on the mountain ash trap above the door. Black ash falls in a neat line across the doorframe, just in case. Once she’s finished, Tyler reaches for her hand and pulls her closer.
“I know that look.”
Elena shakes her head as he drapes his arm over her shoulders, letting her rest against him comfortably. “What look? There’s no look.”
“There is definitely a look,” he smiles, pressing a kiss to her temple. “It’s the ‘we need to protect these babies’ look.”
She shakes her head. She can’t help it. Elena Gilbert has a heart that’s too big for the life she’s been given. “We have way bigger problems to worry about. But if we all make it out of this in one piece? We’ll revisit?”
“Yeah,” Tyler nods. “I think I can work with that.”
“Okay.” She takes a deep breath. “Jeremy and Malia should be here in the morning. Followed by Bonnie, Caroline and Derek. We should be ready for things to get even more interesting.”
“Fun.” Tyler smirks. “Guess we can’t outrun any of this, much as we may like to.”
“Maybe not,” Elena nods. “But at least we’re doing this together.”
