I have an itch and don't want to just write flash fiction. IDK if I'm going to use this prompt table for all the same people, but I'm going to start with some Teen Wolf and Leverage because that's where my brain is I lied, this is turning into a Teen Wolf/TVDverse Soulmate AU collection, I'm just indulging my bliss here.

The first time Bonnie sees color is the night Matt tried to drown himself to see Vicki.
It’s a trippy thing, finding your soulmate in a moment where he’s almost taking his own life, but it fades almost as soon as he’s saved. As though the spirits were trying to keep her future intact, even if she didn’t know it yet. Oddly enough, she would have saved Matt whether he was her soulmate. He is one of her best friends, and she doesn’t want to walk through the world without him.
The color fades as soon as he’s back on solid ground and breathing again, and she reads him the riot act, but that flash is enough to leave an impression. She’s not looking to rush into a soulmate, though, not while they still live in Mystic Falls, not when Matt is the most fragile of all of them.
So she says nothing, and hopes that when she is ready and everyone is safe, Matt will still be there.
“So. You’re Derek.”
Bonnie’s mischievous grin as she studies the werewolf in front of her is clear and she can tell Caroline is facepalming behind her. Caroline now knows she’s made a grievous mistake, and Bonnie fully intends to exploit it.
“Please don’t be completely embarrassing,” Caroline comments, and Bonnie tosses her a smirk.
“What, and risk not being able to interrogate him before you forget him completely again? Not a chance.”
Caroline rolls her eyes and waves a hand. “I’m going upstairs. Unlike some of us, I have a job to do.”
Bonnie shakes her head as Caroline exits the room, before turning back to Derek. “Don’t worry. I won’t ask too many probing questions.”
Derek raises an eyebrow. “I probably should have seen this coming.”
Bonnie shrugs. “Elena and I both found our soulmates fairly close to home. For a while we thought Caroline would do the same, find a guy we already knew, but turns out, you are a complete mystery, Derek Hale.”
“I don’t want to be.”
Bonnie has a feeling that isn’t entirely true—that in some circumstances he would prefer to be a ghost rather than easily recognized, but this instance isn’t one of them. That’s fair. She would want to be known by her soulmate too, and this entire situation is ridiculous.
“Look, Hayley has got a badass witch on the memories thing, and I’ll probably help her once we’re done here. And I’m going to fix this compulsion mess. But if you don’t want to be a mystery—all you have to do is talk to her.”
“Just feel like I’m two steps ahead of where she is, and I don’t want her to feel like she should have to rush to catch up.”
Bonnie smiles at that, before nodding her agreement. “Believe me. I get it. But let’s get started and see what we can find out.”
The second time is prom.
She never expects to be named prom queen, never really thinks that she could be a contender, but when she hears her name called alongside Matt’s, she can’t help but feel the warm bubble of appreciation, that all the effort she’s put in to keep her friends and this town safe hasn’t gone unnoticed.
That warm bubble bursts into soft hues when she and Matt are on the dance floor, and when she sees his eyes widen, she knows he sees it too. “Bonnie—are you—”
She closes her eyes, leaning in to rest her head against his shoulder. “Can we talk about it after the dance?”
She can feel him nod, pressing his cheek against the top of her head, and as soon as the dance is done, they step outside the gym where they can have some privacy. The night is quiet, which is rare in Mystic Falls, and Matt steps behind her as she looks up at the stars.
“You’ve seen it before, haven’t you?”
Bonnie looks over at him with a small smile. “The night you tried to drown yourself. It faded after I saved you, but this time it’s lingering a little longer.”
“Why didn’t you say something?”
“You were dealing with a lot. I didn’t think then was the time. And—we still live in Mystic Falls. One of us could die any minute.”
“Do you think it will fade again?” He sounds concerned. “I don’t want it to.”
“I don’t know,” Bonnie admits. “But I still don’t think I’m ready. We still live in Mystic Falls, after all.”
Matt nods slowly, before determination sets into his jaw. “Then I can wait.”
“Matt—”
“I’ll wait. You’re worth waiting for, Bonnie.”
She smiles, before pushing up on her toes and kissing him gently on the cheek. “So are you, Matt Donovan.”
A couple of hours later, Caroline pokes her head down into the room and looks apprehensive. “Anything?”
“Not so far.” Bonnie frowns, moving her hands from the side of Derek’s head. “Whatever magic this is, it’s not similar to the way vampires compel people. And given that Derek is also a magical creature, it’s hard to say if the magic I’m feeling is the magic that makes him wolfy, or Malivore.”
“Would it help to have another sample to compare?”
Derek arches an eyebrow and pokes his head around Bonnie to look at the blond. “You found one of them?”
“More like they found us.” Caroline holds up the phone in her hand. “Elena called. Peter Hale showed up at the compound—and he brought Landon with him. He claims he doesn’t want to actually do what he promised Malivore he’d do.”
Derek looks relieved, his body slumping back against the wall. “That’s almost a best-case scenario.”
“That’s what I thought.” She takes a deep breath. “I told Elena that we’d bring Derek and the knife out to her so that we can figure this out together.”
Bonnie grins. “Just like old times. I’ll pack the snacks. Maybe Matt would like to come too. It’s been a while since he’s seen Tyler.”
“Actually, I might need to tag Matt in on something else.” Caroline sighs. “As much as it would be a treat to see all four of you be gross and romantic together—” It would not be a treat, Bonnie could hear the sarcasm from here. “—Jeremy and Malia are peeling off to meet us there, and that leaves Stiles alone looking for the Argent hunter and Mikaelson witch. We thought it might be good for him to have some law enforcement backup?”
Bonnie laughs before nodding. “I’m sure he’ll be happy to help. Let me swing home and pack up some witchy supplies, and we’ll meet back here in an hour.”
Caroline nods. “Sounds perfect.”
They wind up waiting longer than intended. It isn’t until the situation with Cade is resolved and finished that Bonnie finally feels like she’s ready, but she’s not ready to stay in Mystic Falls. She’s saved the world, and now she wants to see the world. But this time, Matt’s the one who’s not ready. He still has work to do in Mystic Falls, so even when she asks him to go with her, he needs to stay.
“They need me here,” he says. “I can’t just abandon them.”
She understands, and she promises that if he ever needs her, she’ll be home as fast as she can. All he has to do is call. And one day, a couple of years later, he does. Bonnie’s phone rings in the middle of the night. It’s the middle of the night for her, not necessarily the person calling, but when she sees the number on the caller ID, she answers immediately. “Matt?”
“I need you to come home.”
He sounds terrible. He sounds like he’s at the end of his rope. Bonnie honors her promise, because he needs her, and she keeps her promises. “I’ll be home the day after tomorrow.” She has to catch a flight, and she doesn’t know when the next one will be. But it’s enough, and when he picks her up from the airport, he looks just as wrecked as he sounded.
He doesn’t elaborate until they’re finally alone, curled up on the couch in the Lockwood manor and he seems like he can finally allow himself to relax. “It’s so much harder than I thought it would be, trying to keep this town together. It’s like … it’s one disaster after another, and now it’s all on my shoulders to handle it. Stefan is gone, you’re gone, Elena and Tyler, Caroline is here, but she and Ric have the school now—it’s a lot.”
“Yeah, it is. You shouldn’t have to hold it up all on your own.”
Matt turns to her. “What else am I supposed to do?”
“You ask for help.” Bonnie reaches for her phone and texts Jeremy. He and his new soulmate aren’t far from here. “Now. What are we dealing with?”
A small vampire nest trying to set up in town is easy enough to deal with, but it’s clear it’s just the latest in a long line of supernatural issues on top of small town problems. Bonnie and Jeremy can both see the cracks showing, and after the job is said and done, when the four of them are having victory drinks, Bonnie glances over to Matt with a nod. “Come with me.”
“What?”
“You need a break. Come with me.”
“But, the town—”
“The sheriff may take a leave of absence when he can’t effectively do his job,” Bonnie reminds him. “We’ve already talked to Sangetti. He already knows about the supernatural stuff and can handle the town bullshit for a little while.”
“But what about the supernatural stuff?”
“Malia and I are going to crash here for a bit,” Jeremy nods.
“Plus, my cousin and her partner are going to drive down from New York, so you’ll have a hunter, two werewolves and a werecoyote to handle any lingering vampire problems.”
“And there are lots of places that I want to show you,” Bonnie smiles. “We’ve been waiting for the right time for so long, Matt. Maybe we need to make our own right time. No more waiting.”
Matt looks up at the house, then back at Jeremy. “And you promise not to trash my house?”
“I promise you will come back to it exactly as you left it.”
Matt nods, and the instant he decides, the weight on his shoulders lightens. “Thank you.”
Bonnie can’t help but feel like the last pieces she’s been waiting for have finally settled into place.
Bonnie and Matt drive over to meet Caroline at the school, and the man she assumes is Stiles is already there and waiting, leaning back against a standard FBI SUV. Matt makes a face. “You didn’t say he was a fed.”
Bonnie rolls her eyes. “Don’t let your local law enforcement side blind you. You’re both working towards the same goal here.”
“Mmm-hmmm,” he shakes his head as he turns to face her. “So Sangetti will be here to deal with any local stuff, but I’ve noticed that we’ve cleaned out all of our supernatural backup.”
“Dorian and Ric will still be here, so if he needs anything, tell him to call the school.”
“Got it.” Matt turns her to face him. “Be careful. We don’t know what kind of magic we’re dealing with, and that makes it dangerous.”
“I will. And you should be careful too. If this Mikaelson witch is anything like Esther, she’s going to be a dangerous.”
“I will.” He leans in to kiss her soundly. “See you on the other side?”
“See you there.”
They climb out of the car and make their way to the rest of the group, slinging their bags over their shoulders. Stiles straightens when he sees Matt and holds out a hand. “Stilinski.”
“Donovan. I’m the sheriff here.”
Stiles nods. “My dad’s the sheriff in Beacon Hills. Ready to hit the road?”
“Yeah. One last thing.” He grabs Bonnie’s hand and pulls her in for one last kiss. Then he looks at Caroline. “I get her back in one piece.”
Caroline smiles and nods. “Promise.”
“Good.” He breaks off and climbs into the car with Stiles, and they drive off into the distance. Bonnie then turns to Derek and Caroline and nods.
“Alright. Off to the bunker we go.”
Fingers crossed it will be a quick trip.
