oh boy...
is it just me, or is the whole danny flying out to montana to support lindsay thing sound like something out of a fanfic?
it's not that i don't like danny/lindsay. really, it isn't. i like danny/lindsay in theory. but canon ships on procedural dramas are a really big turn-off for me. not all of them, but with CSI and CSI:NY--it is. it wasn't so much the fact that sara chose grissom over her other options, it's just that this show has been so focused on the case, their relationship--i don't really feel it has a place there. on miami i forgive it because that is just the nature of the beast. but for this--
and the whole thing that lindsay felt better and more confident because danny was there to support her? god, i could have probably read that in about fifty fics over at ff.net. big and dramatic seems to be it for this ship. there's nothing in between. and that almost kiss at the end? i never was so happy to see the paparazzi.
it's too soon for either of them to be in a relationship with each other. they both have too many issues.
and danny had one day off, no? so lindsay finished her testimony, the defense called their witnesses, both of them closed their cases, and the jury deliberated? all in one day? unless danny called in and said he was blowing off work. (and the time change isn't going to account for that much.)
i think this is probably the one episode of CSI:NY where generally, overall--i was not happy. and it kinda sucks.
although, that little flack/hawkes fight over choice of conversation? that made me smile. just a little.
