"I will call her on my way back to the precinct," Anderson nodded, walking out of his office and heading back into the bullpen.
Rachel looked around, keeping an eye out for Kingston and her partner, before quickly heading to her desk.
"Hey SVU," Anderson said, poking her lightly in the shoulder as he passed.
"Hey Vice," she said, relaxing noticeably.
"You back?" he asked, deciding to stop for a minute.
She nodded. "At least until IAB tells me differently."
"That's good," he sighed, "Mac said you were getting a little cabin fever."
"Did he tell you I rearranged my living room yesterday?" she said with a laugh.
He grinned back, "Yeah, sounds about right."
"God, I have never been so glad to get back to work. If I can avoid Kingston and the goon my day will be even better."
"You know, a little birdie told me that if Kingston leaves, the goon is going with her," he nodded.
Her eyes widened and she grinned. "Oh, that just made my day."
"I thought it would," he nodded, "Definitely made mine."
"My new mantra for the day is going to be 'let them leave soon, let them leave soon'," she said, sinking into her seat. "Like I said, as long as I don't see them, my day will be even better."
"Everyone's day is always better when they don't have to see them," he nodded.
"But you're lucky...you don't have to work with them."
"That's very true," he nodded.
"Speaking of work, it appears paperwork didn't stop piling up while I was gone," she said, casting a look at her desk.
"Well, you know what they say," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets, "Paperwork waits for no man."
"Yeah," she said, leaning back in her chair. "You heading out?"
"Yeah," he nodded, "Just dropped in to warn your captain about my sister."
She nodded. "Bet he appreciated the heads up."
"At least he knows what's coming," Anderson nodded, "You know, we should all grab a drink later--celebrate you're being back."
"Sounds good to me," she said with a grin.
"Mac'll call you later, alright?" he nodded, starting to back towards the door.
