(no subject)

snagged from [livejournal.com profile] ragnarok_fic...as usual.

Ask me anything you want about any of my stories: how I thought of the idea, what I did to write it, what I was thinking when I wrote it, what I feel about it now, what I wish I'd done differently, etc. Or ask any of the characters from particular stories something you want to know, and get an answer from them. Or both.

All my serial stuff is found here, if needed. Ask away.

How do I decide who should die and how?
Ummm...well, it depends on the bunny, really. And half the time I start out thinking about killing a different character, and then wind up killing another one. Although I know that with Eva and Danny, that was the plan from the get go. As for how--gun's are usually the most common because of the line of work their in, but with Eva--I wanted to do something a little different and since she wasn't a cop and she lived in the situation she did, I thought the HIV storyline fit a little better.

How do I come up with my crossovers and pairings?
Flack/Calleigh was kind of thrust upon me, because someone made a request for it, and I just loved them together. Delko/Maka was kind of because I see Delko as the Miami!Danny, and how he is trying so hard (especially with seasons 4 and 5) and things just keep slipping out of reach, but he's different from Danny. In a better way, at least where they are in the series. Danny/Sofia was that I needed someone for Danny to irritate, and since I'm not a Sara fan, and Catherine is--Catherine, Sofia was it, and it worked. Nick/Stella is the fault of the prompt generator. With my Conviction crossovers, I had this bunny (which I still haven't written) about Flack and Jess after a really big episode for her, and I was thinking hey--that's not a bad idea. And then it mutated into this monster. Not that I mind because I'm head over heels in love with Danny/Christina, but still--monster. The Supernatural stuff, I needed a fifth pairing for the Five Pairings fic for Calleigh, and Dean was like hey! She likes guns--I like guns--ship! The NY end is all [livejournal.com profile] venetia_sassy's fault, because she implanted in my brain the bunny of Lindsay being the Winchester's cousin, and that mutated as well (and exploded)...I could go on forever. It's really random stuff that makes me think of them.

For Ryan, do you know if there's a specific reason Blair's plotting your death?
Probably just years of abuse on my part. We've always lived close together, which gives me ample opportunity to torture her, hit on her friends, hit her up for money--food--anything really. And I have issues with returning things. And sometimes asking in the first place.

For Angie and Val, what's the clutziest thing Angie's ever done?
Angie: Woo--probably running into that two-by-four on that case in New York.
Val: Or that time when we were in high school, where you slid off the stage into the pit during the musical.
Angie: Oh yeah, there's that.
Val: Or that time when you got caught when Dad was changing direction on the yacht and almost fell in the water.
Angie: That too--
Val: Or that time when--
Angie: I think they get the point!

I know you kill characters a lot. How do you decide who should die and how they should die? Also, how do you come up with your crossovers/crossover pairings?

And I have a question for Ryan...do you know if there's a specific reason Blaire's plotting your death?

Oh! And one for Angie...what's the clutziest thing you've ever done? And along with that, I suppose I should ask Val what she consideres the clutziest thing Angie's ever done.

i added it back into the entry. because the crossover answer exploded into something massive.
