Five Loves of Greg Sanders

Fandom: CSI with crossovers with CSI: Miami and CSI:NY.
Title: Five Loves of Greg Sanders
Author: [livejournal.com profile] iluvroadrunner6
Rating: FRT
Characters: Greg Sanders/various pairings
Content Warning: N/A
Summary: Five pairings that could happen.
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ashields124 in response to the Five Pairings Meme. I also have to thank her for throwing bunnies at me when I was coming up blank. I used the dog bunny for Calleigh instead of the surfing one though, if you don't mind. It kinda worked better.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI, CSI: Miami, and CSI:NY. They are owned by CBS.

Maxine Valera

“You want to move to Miami?” Valera looked at him, a bit of surprise mixed with skepticism sitting on her face.

“Yeah,” Greg nodded, “I could use a change of scenery.”

“But all your friends—”

“I’ll make new ones,” Greg replied, moving closer so that he could slip his arms around her waist, “I already have.”

“Greg, that’s not my—”

“I know,” he cut her off again, “But I need to do this.”

Valera looked down at the space between them, “Tell me you’re not moving here for me.”

“What if I am?”

“Then don’t move.”

Sofia Curtis

He watches her as she studies herself in the mirror before the benefit, the little black dress hugging her in all the right places, and he’s very, very tempted to somehow bribe her into saying they both contracted a sudden case of the stomach flu, but she seemed to know what he was thinking before he even said anything.

“Don’t even think about it?”

“Think about what?” Greg lied, giving her an innocent look which was only met with a glare from her.

“We’re not missing this thing,” Sofia replied, looking herself over one last time, “Brass would shoot us.”

“Are you kidding?” Greg laughed, “He’s the one receiving an award and he doesn’t even want to go.”

“And we have to be there, to rub that fact in his face,” Sofia replied, before walking over to him and giving him a quick kiss.

“Remind me never to tell you when I’m doing or receiving something I don’t want to do or get.”

Sofia just stared at him for a second and he shook his head.

“Was that even English?” he asked, and she shrugged.

“Don’t know. But c’mon, let’s go. We’re going to be late.”

“We don’t even have time for one, quick—”

Now, Greg.”

Lindsay Monroe

“You did better than I expected,” Lindsay commented as she and Greg sat down on the side of the rink and took their skates off.

“Well, it’s not like I’ve never been ice skating before,” Greg replied, giving her a look, “I was just a little rusty.”

“There are ice skating rinks in Vegas?”

Greg hesitated for a second before looking back out at Rockefeller Center, “I don’t know. I never bothered to look.” Lindsay then gave him a strange look and he continued, “I actually lived in New York for a year.”

“Really?” she said, a smile crossing her face, “I didn’t know that.”

“Yup. One of the best years of my life.”

Lindsay nodded slowly before turning on him with a look, “So all this time, I’ve been dragging you around New York, taking you places I think you’ve never been to before, and you really have seen them already?”

Greg looked at her for a second, and decided to answer that question very carefully, “—Maybe.”

Lindsay still didn’t look happy.

“Well you didn’t ask—” he began and she cut him off.

“I’m done showing you around,” she replied, standing up after getting her shoes on, “Time for you to drag me around.”

Calleigh Duquesne

Calleigh was just letting the dogs drag her along at this point. Two of them probably weighed more than she did on their own, and there was really nothing she could do to stop their momentum. She felt herself start to stumble a bit and tried to jog to keep up with them, but she could already feel herself starting to lose her footing. Suddenly, she saw a set of hands shoot out and grab a hold of the dog leashes, pulling the animals to a stop.

She turned to the man standing next to her, and gave him an appreciative smile, “Thank you.”

The stranger returned it, “Can’t let them get a head of you.”

“Tell me about it,” Calleigh shook her head, “Unfortunately, they aren’t mine, they’re my co-workers, and I’m said I’d walk them while he was out of town.”

“I was wondering why you would have such big dogs if you couldn’t control them.” He then extended his hand to her, “I’m Greg Sanders.”

“Calleigh Duquesne.”

“Well, I gotta run,” he said, nodding back towards the park, “You need anymore help with these guys?”

“No, I think I’ll manage,” Calleigh nodded, “Thanks for slowing them down though.”

“Anytime,” Greg replied, before jogging into the distance.

Jennifer Angell

“Hammerback got an ID on the vic,” Greg said as he slid up to her, folder in hand. Angell turned and gave him a smile before taking the file from him.

“Who is he?”

“Michael Masters,” Greg explained as she read, “Stockbroker from Wall Street. They fingerprint all their employees, and there was a match in their database. It’s said that his net worth is about five million.”

A low whistle escaped her throat, and she looked up at him, “What’s a guy like that doing half-naked, tied to a basketball hoop in the South Bronx?”

Greg shrugged, “Beats me. Guess what’s what we’re supposed to figure out.”

“We?” she frowned turning to look at him.

“Yup.”

“As in just the two of us we or the collective we?”

“Well, everybody else was on that big cross-jurisdiction case, and they just pulled Lindsay off this one to work that, so it looks like it’s just the two of us.” He turned to her and gave her a look, “That a problem.”

Angell looked up quickly and shook her head, “No! No. Not at all.”

Greg grinned at her reaction, but didn’t acknowledge it much. “Good,” he replied, starting to walk towards the door of the labs, and Angell followed, feeling her cheeks started to burn as she went.
