snufflesdbear in response to the Five Pairings Meme. Calleigh/Dean was probably spawned from the Supernatural season 1 marathon I've been having. And it's another one that I really really wanna write. *headdesk*
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI: Miami, CSI:NY, Supernatural or Numb3rs. They are owned by CBS or CW.
Colby Granger
“Just for the record, I’m seriously against this,” Colby said as he walked with her down the hallway of the FBI building.
“I’ve been involved in worse, Colby,” she sighed, turning to face him, so that they were stopped.
“Maybe,” Colby replied, “But this time is different, because I—”
“If you’re telling me that I shouldn’t do this because of what’s going on between us, I may have to shoot you,” Calleigh said, leveling the man with a look.
“That was not what I was going to say,” Colby replied.
“Then what were you going to say?”
“Be careful out there. Alright?”
“Always am,” she nodded, before continuing where she was going.

Don Flack
She could feel Flack leaning over her shoulder as she worked, and she grinned, continuing what she was doing but not turning around to face him. “Doing that’s not helping me get through the evidence any faster.”
She could hear the smile on his face when he responded, “No, but I thought you might like the company.”
Her smile widened as he came out from behind her and sat across the layout table from her, “You adjustin’ to the city alright?”
“Yeah, pretty well,” she sighed, “It’s very different from Miami.”
“All the people?”
“And the weather,” she replied.
“Well, cold weather’s good for a few things,” he said, getting up from where he was sitting and heading back over to her side of the table.
“Really?” she looked up at him, giving him a smile.
“Yeah,” he said, before leaning in to whisper in her ear, “Helps bring people closer together.”
“And I have a feeling you meant that in a way that means just you and me and not everyone else.”
He gave her a grin, before leaning forward and whispering in her ear, “I’ll see you later.”

Ryan Wolfe
“Calleigh!”
She turned at the sound of the voice behind her, and gave Ryan a smile, “What can I do for ya?”
“Results came back on the trace under the vic’s nails,” he said, “Processed soil like you buy in the store. Aaron’s running it against a soil sample from our suspect’s apartment, see if we got a match.”
“Sounds like a pretty nice lead right there.”
“Yes it does,” Ryan smirked, “Maybe nice enough where we might be able to get off early and have that dinner we planned on.”
Calleigh gave him a smile, “Maybe. Probably won’t though.”
“Yeah, probably not,” Ryan laughed.
“Call me if Aaron comes up with anything else.”
Ryan just gave her a nod before heading off in the opposite direction.

Danny Messer
“Can I help you?” Calleigh asked, approaching the blond man standing in the lobby.
“Yeah,” the man turned to face her, “I’m looking for an Officer Duquesne.”
“Well, you found her,” Calleigh gave him a smile, “What can I do for ya?”
Danny’s face widened into a grin, “Mac Taylor said you knew everything there was to know about heavy weaponry.”
“Then I take it you must be Danny Messer,” she sighed, before nodding her head towards the ballistics lab, “Follow me.”
“So you heard about me?” he said as he followed her, “Hopefully they were all good. Nothing too—embarrassing?”
Calleigh gave him a look over her shoulder, “Not from Detective Taylor.”
Danny gave the woman a look, “Who did you talk to?”
“A Detective Monroe called me earlier with questions about the case, and the topic of you arrival happened to come across the table.”
“And what did Montana have to say about me?” Danny asked crossing his arms in front of his chest.
“We aren’t here to talk about that now, are we?” she said with a smirk, before handing him a pair of protective goggles and head phones, “We’re here to find a match for your murder weapon.” She waited until Danny put them on before cocking the gun next to her.
“FIRE IN THE HOLE!”
***
Dean Winchester
“Duquesne.”
“Calleigh! How’s it goin’?” Calleigh took a deep breath before shaking her head.
“Dean—I told you, I don’t do that any more.”
“No, no, no. That’s not the kind of help I’m lookin’ for.”
“Really? What kind of help are you looking for?”
“Place to crash—for me and my brother.”
“That’s all?”
“Maybe a bite to eat?”
“Why?”
“I’m sorry?”
“Why should I house and feed you and your brother?”
“Well, there are very many answers to that question, Call, if I only had the time to explain them all—”
“Cut the bullshit, Winchester.”
“There’s a job in the area—and it’s nice to have a home base we don’t have to pay for.”
“You mean pay for with a fake credit card?”
“You know me too well, Calleigh.”
“Fine, Dean. You can stay here. Just don’t make me have to arrest you, alright?”
“I will try my best.”
“Dean—”
“I won’t, alright? I won’t.”
“Better.”

They were all terrific but Calleigh/Dean has pretty much driven all else out of my head. Please write that!

I would love to see what you'd do with Dean/Calleigh. I keep wanting to write Dean and Sam getting into trouble in New York and calling their cousin Lindsay to bail them out - and she's not happy.

i actually haven't seen the s2 opener. i just got into it really recently, so--i'm behind. but i've seen most of s1 at this point, including the finale (which is what i thought the s2 opener was). next time it airs though, i'm not missing it.
and the fic was kinda long, so i can't read it now, but i'm definitely interested. dean/impala=OTP. kinda like flack/food.
and the dean/calleigh idea is kinda basically the same premise as the lindsay one. i keep thinking that since calleigh worked nights in new orleans, if i wanted to in my little au, she could have been a hunter of somekind (new orleans is a magnet for supernatural stuff most likely) and had encountered dean and john once before, and dean drops in on her after she moves to miami.

I'd almost forgotten Calleigh worked in New Orleans. That's always a favourite with fantasy/magic/voodoo/supernatural writers, isn' t it? Hmmm. Almost irresistible! Or completely irresistible.*g*
BTW, I don't know if you saw this post (http://venetia-sassy.livejournal.com/17651.html), but last call's today.

for me it was completely irresistable. as soon as i finish some more of these five pairings fics and can switch my icons around, i want to upload a dean one and get started on this. i'm gonna have to brush up on my knowledge of the supernatural though...*grumbles*

i'll credit you for the idea, but if you'd rather write it yourself, feel free to say no, but--i don't want to just steal your idea.

i think.

*claps again* THANK YOU!!

i'm glad you liked it.

Yeah, Flack. He's sooooo pretty. Of course, so is Danny... oh, crap. There I go again... Flack. Flack. Yah.
