Don Eppes

“You alright?”

Megan looked up from her seat on the edge of the ambulance, and saw the concern on Don’s face. She could read Don easier than most people could, and she knew the concern moved beyond that of a supervisor for his agent.

“Fine,” she replied.

“Good,” Don nodded.

“You get the guy?” she asked, and he looked at her, the look in his eyes telling him he might have done slightly more than get the guy.

“Yeah,” he nodded again, “We got him.”

Megan nodded with him, before standing up and looking him in the eye, hoping her face said as much as his did. “Good.”

Larry Fleinhart

Megan figured she’d probably keep the telescope after Larry came home. She’d always liked looking up at the stars and just watching them, but she never had the time to do so. Now that Larry had given her the opportunity to get a telescope of her own, she’s been making the effort to look out more often.

Of course most of it was for Larry, but she loved the fact that he was following his dreams was allowing her to indulge in one of her favorite intrinsic pleasures. Looking at the stars was something that had followed her throughout her life and had kept her moving. There was something about the fact that if they could last, so could she.

While she didn’t share the same point of view as Larry, who saw them from the point of view of a physicist rather than just a hopeful dreamer, they shared a love of the stars themselves. And while Colby and David would tease her for all the time she spent with Larry to how they were even starting to think alike, she wouldn’t deny the fact that she still felt close to him, despite the fact that they weren’t even on the same planet anymore.

Colby Granger

“Whatcha doin’ Granger?” Megan asked, dropping an arm around his shoulder. He quickly floundered to close the window on his computer.

“Trying to track down that guy—for that thing—” he stammered, gesturing to the screen.

“Uh-huh,” she grinned, “The guy was clearly going to be found in that game of Spider Solitare.”

“I was taking a break,” he said through his teeth.

“Sure you were,” she grinned, “I’ll leave you to trying to track down that guy—for that thing.” She started to walk away and he grabbed her arm, pulling her back to her original position.

“Am I seeing you later?” he whispered in her ear. She turned and gave him a smile, before pulling away from him.

“Better find that guy, Granger.”

Don Flack

“Tell me, Detective,” Megan said as she sat on the edge of his desk, “What do you think of all this fed presence in your precinct?”

“What do you mean?” Flack replied, giving her a shy smile.

“Well, your friend Danny has made it vocally apparent that he’s not to thrilled with our involvement on this case,” Megan replied, studying him slightly, “Your boss is silently stewing over the fact that we’re here. Can’t quite figure out what you think though.”

“No local is happy to have to work with the feds, Agent Reeves,” Flack replied, leaning back in his chair, an amused look on his face, “I’m sure you know that.”

“Yeah, but I’m not asking about any local,” she said with a smirk, “I asked about you.”

Flack sighed heavily, “Well, I’m not—violently opposed to you.”

“Well, that’s good,” she nodded, “Makes our job easier.”

“Your boss, however, is another story.”

James Wilson

“I’ve heard all about you Dr. Wilson,” Megan commented as they walked through halls of Princeton Plainsboro.

“Really?” he said, “I highly doubt that. You haven’t even been here a day.”

“Oh, but people do talk,” she grinned, “I’ve heard that you’ve been married—and divorced—several times.”

Wilson winced slightly, “That is true. What else do people have to say about me?”

“Well, half of them think you’re an inconsiderate letch who can’t keep his hands off anyone,” Megan commented, “And the other half, think you have a good heart, you just—have a problem with commitment.”

“I see,” Wilson nodded, “Which one do you believe?”

“I’m not sure yet,” she sighed, “But do know that it’s pretty lucky for you I’m only in town for a little while.”

“Oh?”

“I’m not looking for commitment.”

So. Don Flack, Jr. is violently opposed to Don Eppes? Interesting. It's weird, but I can see Don&Don getting along. Their attitudes and all that. And there would be those moments when somebody called out "Don" and they both turned around.

And Colby plays Spider Solitaire? Me too! We are so meant for each other.

And I loved the one with Don Eppes. Because it's so true. You know he would say that he got the guy, but because he cares so much about the team -- even if he does act like a tough guy -- he would do so much more than just get the guy.

not violently. just more...not to fond of him. they all get used to each other eventually. i think.

and spider solitaire is the most awesome game ever.

i'm actually really happy with the don/megan one. it's not my favorite megan ship (i prefer larry/megan or colby/megan) but i was really happy with the way that came out.

I can totally see the two of them getting into a fight about jurisdiction, alongside other things. It might be a longshot, but a scuffle might ensue. Maybe Don slams Flack up against a wall or something.

numb3rs_icons has some pretty icons. i don't snag often (only when i need them or they're really really pretty) but they have some nice stuff over there.

Okay. Two things that just jumped out to be said:

1 - Flack for teh win with that last remark to Megan. ::snerk::
2 - Write that Megan/Wilson one.

I'm lucky that, with the exception of one character, I got some easy claims. But man...my best friend asked for Christina and I can't pair her with Danny. ::headdesk::

hrmm...ryan, hawkes, marty, (if you're doing crossovers) greg, and tony?

(the tony was entirely random, but i could see him flirting with her.)

Surprisingly, Nick, Ryan, Flack, Chase (from house) and DiNozzo. DiNozzo was hilarious, and Flack was great. But I might write Marty up even without it being requested for this.

marty's fun. i don't know if i'd ship him with anyone quite yet, but he is fun to write.

I ship him primarily with Maka, Lindsay and Valera. I think I like Marty/Lindsay the best because I've written it more, but the others are fun, too.

if i could see more of him, i might have a better idea of who i would ship him with. it's hard though, when it seems like he's not gonna be back for a while.

and i don't really ship lindsay much either. flack and danny mostly.

and darren.

I whore her out so much it's not funny: Danny, Flack, Ryan, Greg, Marty and Chase/Lindsay and Nick/Lindsay are starting to look mighty appealing, too. And that's not counting that one of my two slash ships is Maka/Lindsay...

i have a hard time whoring the girls. guys, no problem. girls? it's iffy.

i don't know why. i'll write lindsay with a lot of people, but the only people i really actively ship her with are danny and flack.

and darren.

I like her with Darren. A lot.

i really had had no intention to ship her with darren, originally. hell, i wasn't even going to give him a first name and family. he was just going to be lilly's friend, and then he was just as stubborn with me as he was with lindsay.

therefore he left me no choice.

Sounds sort of like Susan, actually.

i don't really mind writing darren/lindsay though. they work well together.

and i'm really glad you decided to develop susan a little more. her and christina are neck and neck depending on the day.

I love Susan. I absolutely adore her. I wasn't going to do anything with her other than have her be an old friend who occasionally popped up. Then Flack saw her and I could just see them both with hearts over their heads.

I just had a facepalm moment and started writing up her bio.

darren's actually kinda your fault too. he saw the bio for jason and was like hey...if she can do it, why can't you? i was determined to ignore him, but...he kept giving me plot bunnies and...

he won.

Oh, boy. And I feel bad since the minute Susan heard that we were going to co-write a fic she said "I want a boyfriend out of the deal." How much of what we've written is John/Susan?

i'm thinking that if we're going to do another one, darren should come in and just flirt with christina to piss danny off. cuz he would do something like that.

or flirt with lindsay.

or flirt with anyone, really.

::looks at the other characters:: Sorry, guys. Eventually we'll get back to you...at some point...possibly...aybe...

Dude! I'd love to write that one with you. Christina would be standing with her jaw hanging down and Danny would be getting pissed off to the point where I cold see physical violence as a highly possible event.

they should have to work with vice. and christina gets there before danny does. and cassavelli would throw things at darren as he flirts with her. and he just yells right back at her.

hee...it would be fun.

Oh yes. I could see Danny looking at that and going WTF, and then being told and having to be physically restrained by Christina and Cassavelli. No, he doesn't get jealous when someone flirts with his signifigant other (because depending on when it's set, Christina is either his girlfriend or wife).

and darren will be asking christina why he wasn't warned about boyfriend/husband's homicidal tendencies.

Probably because no one would think he'd get that jealous, since Marty apparently flirts with her all the time and Danny has no problem with that?

If we write this, it's going to be on your journal, I swear.

i would not have a problem with that, i don't think. that works for me. we already have a nice long one on yours.

I was thinking...since Ryan and Lindsay are dating in my AU, if we set it before Ryan actually goes to NYC it could work. Or we can make it completly AU from my series, too.

actually lindsay and ryan dating could work. cuz darren can complain about he asked her out lots and lots of times, but she just got together with a guy she just met from miami.

I missed this. *facepalm* Yep, I've really been with it lately, haven't I? Good thing you told me.

I really enjoyed all of these. Megan/Wilson threw me for a moment but I was much amused by their conversation. Megan/Flack made me grin, as did Megan/Colby (Spider Solitaire, eek. I'll play one suit but my mother plays four suit which makes my eyes twitch just thinking about it). Megan/Larry was beautiful and made me want to go outside and look at the stars. I think Megan/Don was my favourite - I'm a sucker for 'things unspoken'.

i can only do one suit for that as well, anything more than that gives me a headache. megan/wilson is a little baby of mine, and i don't know if i'll develop it, but it was a lot of fun to write. and megan/don it is.
