Five Acts Meme

... Hi. I haven't been in here in a while, but I do live? And this caught my interest, so:

+ Pick your five favourite kinks of right now and write them in a post
+ Follow that with a list of pairings/moresomes/fandoms you're into
+ Comment with your info here and check out other people’s posts here.
+ Write and enjoy!

WANTS
  • Banter: I’m a dialogue girl at heart so I love a good back and forth. Banter can be flirty or just generally snarky—up to you.
  • Siblings/Family: Prank wars, bickering, family bonding moments whatever the case may be. I want the family relationship. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be fluffy.

  • Crack/Humor: Make me laugh. There is always win when people are making me laugh.
  • Domestic-ness: Just a quiet night at home, with all that that implies. Or just people being normal around each other (this especially goes for preternaturally based fandoms).

When Sophie rolled over in the morning, there was a Parker sitting beside her. Parker looked a little impatient with her knee shaking slightly and her eyes darting all over the place. Sitting still like that was never easy for her.

Sophie smiled slightly and reached out a hand to steady the blond's knee. "Parker. What are you doing?"

Parker glanced over quickly as she realized Sophie was awake. "Waiting," she said simply.

    "For what?"

    "I have to meet Hardison."

Sophie pushed herself up a bit and rested her head in her hand. "If you need to go, you should go."

Parker's eyes diverted and she shrugged slightly. "I didn't want to be gone when you woke up." She wasn't going to say it out loud, but she knew it was little things like that that Sophie liked. She knew it meant something to Sophie, and that meant something to her. Sophie meant something to her.

Sophie smiled a bit more and reached for Parker cheek, pulling her in for a soft kiss. "Go meet Hardison."

"Okay," Parker breathed softly, as she closed her eyes into the kiss. She pulled away and jumped off the bed, but before she could make it out the door Sophie spoke up.

    "Parker?"

"What?" She spun around on her heel and looked at Sophie.

    "Thank you."

"Welcome," she smiled sheepishly, before continuing on her way.

I don't think we have any series in common, but my list is up here (http://afteriwake.livejournal.com/1685760.html). But you know other stuff I like so if you want to write for one of those that's cool. I will try Deeks/Kensi for you, though. It might be late, but I'll try it for you because you're my favorite non-Bleach writer.

    [identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2011-05-13 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I will have to take the "I know what you like" option because I haven't seen enough of Criminal Minds to feel comfortable writing it, and I'm behind on Doctor Who.

But I may give DW a shot if I can catch up on a few episodes.

ALSO! You know what I like too, so if you come up with something else, that's fine by me. =D

    Rachel/McCallahan with Anderson: Trust Fall

    [identity profile] afteriwake.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
    "So. You trust me, right?"

"Yes," Rachel said slowly, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Okay. You fall back, and I'll catch you," Anderson said, taking a step towards her.

She shut her eyes, took a deep breath and fell backwards. When she heard the door open she loosened up right as her butt hit the floor. After a few seconds she turned to Anderson and McCallahan and glared. "Fuck you, Anderson!"

He watched her get up off the floor and stalk up to him, and she punched him in the arm. He winced. He'd forgotten how hard she could hit. "It's your boyfriend's fault," he said with a glare, this time turning it to McCallahan.

"Why'd you let him drop me?" she asked, turning to him.

"I didn't mean to interrupt," he replied. "I just wanted to tell you Detective Taylor was in the office and wanted to see you. He'd heard about our joint case and wanted an update."

"Shit," she muttered under her breath. "Do you think he heard me?"

McCallahan nodded slowly. "The door was open."

"Crap crap crap," she said, wiping off her butt and stalking out the door.

McCallahan and Anderson watched. Without turning to face each other, McCallahan asked, "Why were you guys doing a trust fall, anyway?"

"She said she did one with Maka and she wanted to try one with all her friends." Then he turned and clapped McCallahan on the shoulder. "If you don't catch her, expect to be celibate for a couple weeks. Me? I'm buying her the biggest bottle of Jack Daniels I can find to make her feel better."

"I just hope this bad experience changed her mind on that idea."

Anderson grinned. "Nah. She's stubborn like that."

"Damn," he muttered as the two men left the room.

    {I'm sorry they're both Parker. This one hit me and needed to be written.}

They were in a diner somewhere between Boston and Cleveland, and it was the middle of the night. Parker had her chin on her arm on the table and Dean sat across from her, his arm stretched across the back of the booth.

"Tired?" He watched her nod, then pushed the plate of pie closer to her. "Eat something."

She made a face and pushed it back. "I don't want to eat. I want to be there. Why aren't we there yet?"

He sighed and ran his face over his hand. "Because it's a long drive. You gonna keep asking that?"

Her face popped up from her arm a bit and she smirked. "Yes."

His head shook and he smiled slightly back. "Relax, will ya?"

"I can't. What if the team needs me?"

    "Then they'll call."

    "What if-"

Dean cut her off by getting up and sliding into her side of the booth next to her. She sat up a bit stiffly and edged away. He knew it was going to happen, but the disappointment was still there. Not that he was intending on making a move when he went over. He just tilted his head to look at her. "They'll be fine. We'll get to Cleveland, get the dagger, and head back. You said you wanted to help."

"I do," she said, not looking at him. "But...that was before."

    "Before what?"

    "Before...it was taking so long."

"The car ride?" She nodded. "You tired of bein' around me?"

"No," she said softly. "It's...a lot. With someone."

He watched her and tried to figure out what was bothering her. "You mean without time by yourself?" She nodded again. "It's a lot," he agreed. "But it's not all bad, is it?"

She shrugged. She knew what she was feeling and what she wanted to say, but she couldn't. "It's a lot," she said again. It was a lot just being around him that much, and the things that he was making her start to feel that she didn't want to feel. She didn't understand them and she didn't know if she wanted to.

They had known each other for a long time at that point, and worked together many times over, but it was still too hard for Parker.

She watched as he started picking up silverware and pushing it across the table, then moving the pie and her glass. She looked at him, confused. "What are you doing?"

He ignored her and continued moving every object away from her, and only when he was satisfied did he look at her again. "Well...I'm gonna kiss you and I don't want you to stab me for it. That okay?"

The question took her by surprise and she was silent for a beat. She was going to say no, but her head nodded before she could stop it. He smiled and reached out to touch her cheek gently, brushing her hair back.

He knew her well enough by then to know how to be slow with her. Hell, he had been slow. He'd been wanting to kiss her for months, and even more so in the past couple of days when they had been cooped up together. He met her eyes and waited.

"I'm comin' in now, okay?" And when she closed her eyes instead of responding, he took that as the okay to lean in and kiss her softly. Just one short, soft kiss. They could work their way up to more.

Do you know anything about Hawaii Five-0? Because I have an idea for banter with Rachel but I need to know if you've seen Danny Williams in action. If not, I can improvise.

    [identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2011-05-15 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen the first few episodes and I have a bunch sitting on my hard drive waiting for me to watch them. So yes, I am familiar with Danny Willaims. =D

CSI: NY AU/Hawaii Five-0 - Football Is Serious Business

    [identity profile] scandalbaby.livejournal.com 2011-05-16 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
    "Hey, New York!"

Rachel scowled at Danny Williams. "I already get called SVU. I don't need another cutesy nickname."

"Hey, wear it like a badge of pride. You're New York, I'm Jersey, and we're better than all those people I work with, the Hawaii natives."

She had to grin a little at that. "So I get to call you Jersey?"

"Hey, why not?" He looked around with satisfaction. "Got to thank your husband for getting me a ticket to the game."

"The only reason you got a ticket was there was a triple homicide and no one else would come in. It's what he gets for being the head ME." She sighed. "It's the last home game. I really wanted to spend it with my husband. No offense," she added.

"None taken. Besides, it's only the Giants."

She stared at him. "Only? Only? Have you no hometown pride? Has living in an island paradise softened some brain cells of yours?"

"No," he said. "But it's not like they're going to win."

"Look, they're playing the Chargers. Ever since LaDanian Tomlinson left the team's gone to shit. They have a good chance to win." She glared at him. "Show some respect."

"It's just football," he protested, knowing he'd backed himself into a hole. "It's not like I'm disrespecting the Yankees."

"Just football?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "It's not like Hawaii has a pro team. Watching a pro game live is a thing of luxury for you."

"Yes, that is true, but I get some damn fine high school and college games," he pointed out.

    "Pro is better," she said.

"You ever seen the University of Hawaii play, New York?"

"Why yes, I have," she said. "They suck. USC is better."

"You're a Gamecocks fan?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Clemson, too. Have a cousin who lives in Charleston, and another who lives in Columbia. Always made it a point to visit one of them when they played each other. I would wear a Gamecocks hat when they were winning and a Clemson hat when they were winning."

He stared at her. "You are the weirdest woman I know."

"Nah, you know I'm not," she said with a grin. "Come on. Let's stop talking and watch the Chargers get creamed, okay, Jersey?"

He looked over at her and grinned. "That nickname sounds good coming from you."

    "Stop flirting. I'm married."

"What, are we going to get into that again?" he asked, acting hurt even though she knew he was faking it. "You know I'm not into married women. It's undignified to pine after someone you have no chance of getting. I'll just wait until you wise up and then I'll snatch you up."

She rolled her eyes. "Keep dreaming, Danno."

He paused. "Okay, you can call me that. As long as you don't put book 'em at the front."

She grinned wickedly and leaned over. "Book 'em, Danno," she whispered.

He shook his head. "Stop right there, New York. You could be making my insides go all squiggly."

"Squiggly?" she said with a bark of a laugh.

    "It's my daughter's favorite word."

"Ah, well, then that's okay," she said with a nod. "I'll hold off on the whispers and stuff."

"Yeah. You do that," he said, leaning back in the chair. "Chargers are gonna win," he added with a singsong voice.

"I'll make you eat twenty hot dogs if they lose," she said.

"From the vendor outside your labs?" he asked.

"Nah, I wouldn't be that nice," she said.

"Fine. If the Chargers win, you eat a can of Spam. Deal?" he asked, holding out his hand.

"Deal," she said, shaking it. "Enjoy the dogs."

"Enjoy the Spam," he said with a smirk.

    "In your dreams."

"Yeah, right." She grinned. Come on, let's watch the game.

    "Okay, New York."

She looked at him one more time and then turned her attention back to the game. It was so enjoyable that when she had to scarf down the can of Spam she didn't mind in the slightest. They really had to do that more often.

Have I told you my plan for the All Grown Up AU? I'll probably be killing Marty off very soon, and Danno will have moved to New York when he retired so he's there to help her cope since Gracie's all grown up and living in the city anyway and Danno's!Rachel is still happily married to Stan.

    [identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2011-05-17 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Marty. ;-; Lizzie and Anderson would both have been there for their respective Pinos.

    [identity profile] afteriwake.livejournal.com 2011-05-17 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, most definitely. I think it's going to take Anderson and Danno to get her through it because she's going to be so broken over it. She loves Robert, but Marty's her true love. He's everything she ever wanted in a guy and a lot of things she didn't want but was happy she got. If you want to write some Lizzie fic over this I'll probably post it by the end of the week.

Hope you don't mind that I included Sid.

    ***

"What do you mean he can't come to Career Day?" Robert asked, staring at Rachel. "He promised!"

"There was a fire in an apartment complex in Staten Island, sweetie, and there's a lot of people who died," she said gently. She and Marty did their best to shield him from the harsh realities of their jobs, but sometimes it just couldn't happen. Today was one of those days. "But Detective Taylor let me come, and I brought someone with me."

    "Who?" he asked skeptically.

"Uncle Sid," she said with a grin. "He got to come here before he has to head out to help your dad, since today was his day off."

"Uncle Sid? Awesome!" Robert's eyes lit up and he even clapped once. She smiled and put her arm around his shoulders and pulled him close.

"And I'm here, too, so I'll keep him from going to his creepy place." She looked behind her to Sid, who was walking up to the classroom. "Ready, Sid?"

"What's the worst that can happen?" he said with a grin as she groaned. "What?"

"You just cursed us. Thanks a lot, Sid." She took a deep breath and opened the classroom door and they all walked inside.

    ---

An excruciating hour later Rachel and Robert sat in a diner nearby his school, Rachel glumly munching fries while Robert chattered on happily. While she was replaying the events that lead to embarrassment over in her head her son was oblivious. She was going to kill Sid for it. He didn't have to go to parent/teacher conferences or PTA meetings. And she had to look all those parents in the eye at the meeting scheduled on Friday.

    "Hey, Mom?"

    "Yeah?" she asked, tensing up.

"What was Uncle Sid talking about when he said you liked spending a lot of time in the medical examiner's locker room?"

She cringed. The snickers from the parents who knew her and Marty had made her blush red, but having all the students ask what it looked like and ask why someone would spend time there if it was so boring just made it worse. "Sometimes it's the only time during the day that I get to talk to your father," she said with a sigh.

"But Uncle Sid didn't mean that."

She shook her head. "No, he didn't."

"I thought you did because you're friends with all the coroners, not just Dad and Uncle Sid."

She held onto that thought and clung to it. "That's exactly right. That's why sometimes your father comes up to the labs and spends time with me, because he's friends with your Uncle Danny and Aunt Stella and Uncle Mac and Uncle Sheldon and Aunt Lindsay and all of them."

"Then why did you turn so red?" he asked.

"Because it makes me look like I'm not doing my job?" she said, making it more of a question than an answer.

"Oh. Okay." He grabbed one of her fries. "How cool is it that Lois Thompson's dad is a pro football player?"

"It's very cool," she said with a nod, happy for the subject change. She was also pleased that he had taken pity on her and given her one of the autographed footballs he'd brought for the class. When she related this story to Marty after his long day and the full realization of it's impact set it she was going to need that ball from the Giants linebacker to soften the blow. Next time she saw Sid, he was a dead man.

You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I may write more, even though it's past the 15th. It's been a blast writing Rachel again.
