State of the TV

It's sad that I ... actually need to do this. But this was all going to be a really long plurk, so I figured I'd save it for my journal and then link to my plurk. SO! My dad bought this treadmill and he attached a DVD player to it, and I'm using to get all the backed up TV I have off my computer. There's ... a lot of it. There are a couple things that I ditched, because I've either lost interest, or they weren't doing so well in the first place. (CSI:NY was one of them. /sobs) Now, I'm down to just a couple things:

Fringe - 313 to current
Chuck - end of Season 3 and Season 4 to current (God, I'm so behind, BUT I WANT TO GET TO LAUREN.)
Castle - 307 to current
Hawaii 5-0 - (this is the fault of [livejournal.com profile] afteriwake and [livejournal.com profile] toxic_shadow) 104 to current
Doctor Who - the end of Series 5 and probably going to be the beginning of Series 6
Torchwood - Children of Earth (I know I'm the last person on earth to watch it, but DON'T JUDGE ME. I KNOW HOW IT ENDS, IT'S SAD.)
Lost - 515 through the Season 6 finale. (Yes, I'm a terrible fan.)

... Okay, maybe not a couple, but LESS THAN I HAD. I'm also down to the last three episodes of Smallville Season 8 and it's ... rough. Really rough. Which is why instead of downloading Season 9 right away, I'm going to take a break and catch up on something lighter. Like Castle.

Well, Fringe then Castle. Chuck I'm far enough behind that as much as I want to watch it, I should probably save it for the summer.

If anyone's curious on what I actually watch live?

SUNDAY:
Breakout Kings

MONDAY:
House MD

TUESDAY:
Glee
NCIS: LA (ish - I just started watching this season and have to track down Season 1 at this point to really be caught up)

WEDNESDAY:
Currently? Nothing. Human Target had it's finale and God only knows if it's getting renewed.

THURSDAY:
Bones

FRIDAY:
Smallville (ish - again, I still haven't seen Season 9)
Supernatural

DVR:
Justified (ish - haven't seen Season 1 on this one either)

Summertime brings ... other stuff, but this is where I currently am now.

God, I watch too much TV.

The only problem with the whole treadmill thing? While it's healthy and better for me, I know, it ... kills my urge to do anything once I'm done, which is, as a result, killing my word count for [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. I'm about 7,424 words behind where I should be and that's ... a little daunting. But I'm gonna get better at it -- try find littler things to write once I'm home from work and save the big stuff to blow out on the weekends. That might even out my count a bit.

After I actually catch up on all the TV in the world? I've got a couple shows on standby to try and watch, but I'll probably just wind up canon reviewing what I have. Buffy, maybe some SPN, Alias. CSI:NY (I will get my Flack voice back if it kills me).

And ... I think that's about it.

See why this wouldn't work for a plurk?

"Torchwood - Children of Earth (I know I'm the last person on earth to watch it, but DON'T JUDGE ME. I KNOW HOW IT ENDS, IT'S SAD.)"

I haven't seen it either. I own the DVD, but I just...haven't watched it. I know most of what happens, and I keep putting it off. I guess I need to get around to watching it before the new season this summer.

That's been my thinking too. I figured I could put it off for however long it takes to get the new series started up, but once I heard that they were making definite decisions I knew I actually had to buckle down and watch it.

I'm never watching Children of Earth, not even when I catch up on Torchwood (and I have half of S1 and all of S2 to get through). I just...I'm already going to be depressed from losing Tosh. I don't want to compound that with Ianto.

The end of Series 2 is part of the reason why I've held off for so long. But I need to see it? I don't like only seeing parts of a canon -- I feel like I'm missing things.

I ... have a bit of OCD that way.

You're the only friend of mine who's mentioned watching Breakout Kings. Is it good? That's a series I can catch up on quickly if it is.

I actually really enjoy it. The characters are fun, and the cases are interesting. It reminds me of Leverage, but with lawmen.

I downloaded the eps so hopefully I can start in on it as soon as I finish catching up on NCIS: Los Angeles, and do Leverage at the same time.

I ... need to track down Season 1 of NCIS: LA. Sometime. I'm watching S2 as often as I can, but I need to find Season 1.

I see you are on [livejournal.com profile] tvshare. Browse the tags (http://community.livejournal.com/tvshare/tag/ncis%20la) and if they're all dead put in a request for re-uploads. The community is really good about re-uploading dead links.

I'll have a look. I still have to track down a couple episodes for the TV shows I'm currently watching, so I want to track those down first and then worry about shows that I haven't seen.
