he was in this movie called "One Night With the King," about Esther (the story from the bible). he was playing a jilted lover of sorts.

his character was some kind of slave/tenant farmer/really poor worker that would get really sweaty.

it was some obscure tv channel though...i don't know where you'd be able to find it.

I'm working on a Norrington/Elizabeth fic, because for some reason after watching DMC they're my new OTP. Besides Jack/Elizabeth, of course. Will is...unnecessary. A plot device, for angst. *nods* Yes. And he looks pretty.

see, i like the new norrington more than the old norrington, so i would probably definitely go with norrington/elizabeth. and i agree that will is unncessary at this point.

But I agree. New Norrington = love. I think it's the development. In CotBP, he was more of a Royal Navy boy, and he really went after Jack with everything he had. He was very formal and passionate -- both about Elizabeth (albeit in a different way than Will) and about what he believed in.

However, in DMC, he has actually joined Jack's crew. Norrington spent a good amount of time hobknobbing about in Tortuga, too, so we all know he's found a love of rum and his soul is corrupted. He's now a pirate, or at least he's seen how the other half lives. He's not as sure of himself as he once was.

Stealing the heart was a last ditch effort to get his old life back, but I think that once he sees what Beckett uses it for -- death and tyranny on the high seas -- he'll come around and see that the life he had with the crew of the Pearl was much better. That he was a better man in that life than he is now in the life of Admiral James Norrington.
