darkmagic_luvr in response to the Five Pairings Meme (which I'm still taking requests for, by the way). She picked Sofia, and this was actually pretty interesting for me. I don't write nearly enough Sofia either.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI:NY or Numb3rs. They are owned by CBS.
Danny Messer
Sofia froze in her tracks as she walked back into the apartment, eyes wide with a sudden realization. She could hear Danny pause behind her and she knew that he was probably giving her a strange look.
“Sofia?” He sighed, “You alright?”
“Yeah, fine,” she sighed, shaking her head, “I just realized something.” She then turned back to the bedroom. She was taking off her earrings when Danny joined her in the bedroom.
“Gonna let me in on this little revelation, or are you going to just keep it to yourself?” he asked, crossing his arms across his chest.
“Oh,” she paused, “Well, not really, but if you’re interested I could—”
Danny gave her a look, but didn’t say anything. There was a very long silence before he spoke up again. “You gonna just leave me hangin’ here or what?”
“Well, I just realized that we made it through an entire event without—causing any major damage.”
Danny paused for a second before tilting his head slightly in thought. “We didn’t, did we?”
“No,” Sofia shook her head as she walked over to him, wrapping her neck, “Not even a little brief bickering fit.”
Danny nodded slowly, “We’re making progress.” A grin flashed across her face and she nodded.
“Yes, we are.”

Don Flack
“Stay,” he protested, catching her arm as she went to get out of bed.
“Look, Don, you’re a nice guy, but—” she began, but stopped when he started shaking his head.
“Damnit, Sofia, don’t give me that speech, it sounds like you’re breaking up with me,” he stated evenly, before giving her a look, “I’m not asking you to marry me, for Christ’s sake, I just want you to stay the night.”
“I don’t think it’s—”
“No strings attatched,” Flack said, sitting up and looking at her, “Its pouring buckets outside, and I’m offering somewhere to sleep where you don’t have to get drenched first. What would you rather do?”
She stared at him for a second, before sliding between the sheets again, and he started to reach for her and she pulled back.
“No strings attached, right?”
“No strings he attached,” he nodded, feeling her settle back in next to him.

Eric Delko
“Can I help you, Officer?” she asked as Eric walked into the breakroom in Vegas. She didn’t even look up from the paperwork she was working on, just kept her eyes trained in front of her. He just gave her a small smile.
“I’m just looking for a cup of coffee,” he replied, walking over to the coffee maker on the side, “You have eyes in the back of your head, Detective, or are you just psychic as to who’s coming into the room?”
A smirk crawled up the side of Sofia’s face, “I recognized your gait.” She closed the folder in front of her, and actually looked up at him, “You’re quite loud when you walk.”
“Am I?”
“Yeah,” Sofia said, the smirk not leaving her face, “Must be your big feet.”
Eric looked down, a grin growing on his face, “Well—you know what they say about guy with big feet.”
Sofia arched an eyebrow at him before getting up and gathering her paperwork, “Actually, I don’t. You’re going to have to fill me in on that sometime.”
Eric watched her as she walked out, laughing to himself slightly, “I’ll do that.”

Greg Sanders
Sofia could see the defeat and just pure exhaustion in his eyes, and she just wanted to make it go away. She wanted to make this better somehow, but she didn’t know how to do it. She wanted to just pull him against her and whisper in his ear that everything was going to be alright but she couldn’t. Not in a crowded courtroom, surrounded by people she worked with.
She would have to settle for delayed gratification for that. She would have to wait till they were back home, wrapped in the privacy of either her apartment or his. Wait until she didn’t have to worry about prying eyes seeing her comfort him in the way that she should be able too.
All she could do was reach forward and slip a hand in his, giving it a soft squeeze, “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I killed—”
“You were defending yourself,” she whispered, squeezing his hand harder, “You were defending yourself and someone else. No matter what they say, you didn’t do anything wrong.” She felt him squeeze her hand back, and saw the small smile flit across his lips.
“Thank you.”

Don Eppes
“Detective Curtis, this is my boss, Agent Eppes,” David introduced as they walked into the bullpen at the FBI building in LA, “Don, this is Detective Curtis, she was the lead CSI on the original case in Las Vegas.”
“Sofia Curtis,” she nodded, shaking the other man’s hand.
“Don Eppes,” he replied, “Detective, huh? I thought they didn’t make CSIs detectives in Vegas.”
“Well, I’m not a CSI anymore,” Sofia replied slowly, “The office politics weren’t exactly working in my favor.”
“I see,” Don nodded, “Well, you’re the best chance we’ve got of getting in this guy’s head, CSI or not.” He then handed her off to Megan, to get Sofia up to speed, and start comparing notes on what they thought about the guy.
“Sorry for there not being a—warmer—welcome,” Megan sighed, “He’s tends to be all-business when he’s working on a case.”
Sofia glanced back at where the man was standing and shrugged slightly, “its fine. All-business isn’t necessarily a bad thing.”
“Really?” Megan said, giving the woman a smile.
“Nope,” Sofia said, returning it, “In fact, I kinda like all-business.” Sofia turned her attention to the file that was handed to her, and Megan just watched her, amused. Sofia disappeared into the conference room, and Megan and David exchanged a look.
“Well—she’s definitely going to keep things interesting,” Megan commented and David gave her a nod.

if you want, i can do one for you. (http://iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com/124989.html) just let me know which character you want, and as long as it hasn't already been spoken for, i'll do it.

Sofia: That's impossible. No one could accomplish that.
Charlie: It's more of a statistically possible yet unlikely scenario.
Sofia: You know what, Chuck? Go choke on chalk dust.
I'll definitely take you up on that offer...

especially if charile and danny or flack got together. that would be a disaster waiting to happen.
