total actor squee involving danny and that dog.
don't read if you don't want me to totally kill the moment by going into the technicalities of it.
ok, so i'm watching not what it looks like again, and the scene with danny and the dog came up, which i love, but that's not the point. anyway, i was taking a theater class this semester, and my professor had a guest come in who trains animals for performances and playing characters. he was talking about how when he's training the animals, and they do their trick and he gives them food, and then he slowly weans them off the food to accept love as a reward.
so when danny goes and praises the dog, we squee over it for a cute danny-with-dog moment, but he's really just performing the reward that the dog was expecting for performing its trick. but you don't even realize it, you're just thinking omg...danny...dog...squee!
