To be honest, he was more important for me, personally, because he was my favorite character on the show. But yeah, with all the hype they've been building, I thought it would be something a little more.

Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from. I lost interest in Kutner, because they really weren't writing for him and now it seems they've taken the easy way out to get rid of that problem, y'know? *shakes head*

I thought the whole thing screamed of sloppy writing. I know that Kal Penn is going to work for Obama but the suicide thing just felt so rushed. Like they were all sitting around the table going "hmmm...coma? No. He gets a fellowship grant at another hospital? Nah. Parent dies and he takes a leave of absence? No, I KNOW HE KILLS HIMSELF LET'S DO IT."

And that damn memorial page is tacky as hale. Kal had to release a statement saying that HE wasn't really dead.

Exactly. I mean, I get an actor wanting to leave the show, but this really wasn't the way to do it. Hell, if they wanted to go the suicide route, they could have done it with better build up.

I just felt so -- blind-sided by the whole thing.

Yeah, I saw that. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for him because he sounds really excited, but I'm still mad about the way the writers wrote him out.
