The difference between Kris Allen and Adam Lambert: Those two songs right there.

Look, I don't like Adam. It's not his voice, because he has fantastic vocals, but I've only liked one performance by him on the show and that was "Tracks of my Tears" last week. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all for mixing up a song and adding artistry to it, but -- Adam manipulates the song so much that I don't even recognize it anymore. And that makes me sad.

Kris, on the other hand -- he does new stuff with the song. He plays around with the song and the range and comes up with something new for the song, without manipulating it completely so that I don't recognize it anymore. He may not have the incredible range that Adam has, but at least I can still recognize the song in the end, and it still has the reasons why I loved it in it.

And I like funky music. So maybe if I heard Adam singing some of his own stuff, I'd feel differently, but right now -- I just don't like him.
