This is why Emily shouldn't be allowed to be bored between classes and have her muse abandon her. Because then you get stuck with a rambly post of the real life variety, one that I don't really do that often, because -- I'm not really a blogger? My life just, frankly, isn't that interesting, but writing about it now is more interesting than sitting here and staring at the computer screen, waiting for something to happen, so yay! You get to find out what's going on in Emily-land.
I'm back at school again. Winter break went way too quickly, but it was there, and I vegged, and it was good, for the most part. Aside from the last weekend of Hell, but that's a whole other story. Anyhoo -- I'm a journalism major, for those of you that don't know, over at Rutgers University, and this is my first actual semester where I'm taking all journalism classes. That in and of itself is rather exciting, and the only thing that's not really exciting is the 8:10 AM three hour politics class that I happen to be taking, where I can barely hear the professor, but apparently, we have a lot of guest speakers? so it shouldn't really be that bad. I hope. And it's not like the guy isn't loud either, but he just -- mumbles.
This semester's schedule is much better than last semester's where I seemed to have the bright idea to try and cram everything into Tuesday and sit in class from 9:50 in the morning to 8:35 at night. Though despite the schedule of DOOM, I actually did rather well. Much better than I have been doing, which is good, I think. Hopefully this semester will continue to be more of the same, and I could wind up leaving here with a nice high GPA -- or actually score myself an internship this summer -- which is kind of important. So I've heard. This semester I've managed to swing no uber late classes and Fridays off, which is awesome, because I can just watch Supernatural, then actually stay up late and discuss with others who watched with me. Which I've come to rather enjoy. But other than that, having Fridays off is great because I get a nice three day weekend every week, which I think will really help me be less stressed and be able to keep on top of things better because I have more time to do things like sleep, and others that are important.
What else...
Fandom! CSI:NY -- isn't thrilling me this season. I loved that we got some Hawkes backstory, but they handled it so poorly and didn't give him any closure which sucks because Hill is such an awesome actor and they keep shafting him. I'm really worried that they're going to shaft Eddie tonight too, which would make me really sad, and yet I'm really excited because they're still giving him something to do. So we'll have to wait and see. Though I'm still in denial that Lindsay is having Danny's baby (and that still feels so weird to even type).
I'm loving season 4 of Supernatural. Like whoa. I have to admit that the Impala!sex didn't thrill me, and I wasn't really a fan of Anna at all, but I'm loving the context they're adding with the angels and Sam/Ruby, and all that other stuff. I love that the boys didn't just go back to normal. This show keeps getting better, for me, which makes it really, really exciting to watch. And Dean. Jensen Ackles continues to own my soul. I really wish he would get more credit for what he does with Dean because even if the writing went to total crap tomorrow, I would still tune in to watch Jensen every week.
Lost comes back tonight, but I probably won't watch live. I hate watching Lost with commercials, and I always miss things anyway, so I'll probably watch it later. I'm kind of excited though, because I've missed this show. Especially as we get closer to the end of the show, because I'm hoping that the closer we get, the more we'll find out. And such.
I'm really, really into Fringe at the moment, actually. Walter is LOVE. And just the whole dynamic of the show is really interesting. I know it's kind of an X-Files knock-off, but I really like the pacing and the characters, so I think I'm going to stick with it.
House needs more Wilson. And more Kutner. I miss the House-Wilson antics.
And I'm actually watching American Idol this season, for the first time in forever. I skipped last season because I just wasn't interested, but I'm starting to get back into it again. I like the new judge a lot, actually. So we'll see how that goes.
....And that's all I really have to say. Bah. I just want to go home and go to sleep, but -- whatever.

and yeah, Jensen rewon my soul after Bloody Valentine. Jared will have to do a lot of work to try and beat that.
I also realize I miss my paid account. I only have 6 icons now! 6.

I think I missed last week's Supernatural...was there a new episode? I should see it...
I'm not really a Lost guy and I'll miss the live broadcast tonight no matter what. Oh, look. I'm actually talking as myself with my journal.
Maybe I'll do my own post!!!

And yeah -- I love Walter. Which is why I keep watching Fringe. Plus I'm such a sucker for a sci-fi plot.
And yes, last week's Supernatural was new. It was -- okay. Not all that fantastic, but I'm really looking forward to this week. Barry Bostwick!!!

This Sci-Fi is smart Sci-Fi which is the best type.
Barry Bostwick? Wow. Interesting. I'll watch last week's SPN tonight, though.
WHEN IS TEN INCH HERO COMING OUT? I NEED TO SEE ME SOME JENSEN AS PRIESTLY.
