SPOILERS FOR THE DARK KNIGHT
WHY HEATH, WHY?
All I could do while I was walking out of the theater was all the combinations of villains and not-villains that could have been played with his fantastic Joker, and now is never going to happen because Heath has since passed. Because oh, Lord, Harley Quinn. They better find a fantastic Joker and a fantastic Harley for both of them. I demand it.
I have to admit, I had my doubts about Heath topping Jack Nicholson, who had been amazing, but I really do think he did it on this one. I think Nicholson played the Joker as a bit too comical for my taste, where Heath was just insane and that was so fantastic.
I also have to admit that I didn't see Rachel's death coming, and it made me kind of sad. I certainly wasn't a fan of Katie Holmes' version of Rachel, but when it was Maggie -- I dunno. And I liked what she stood for for Bruce (Every hero needs their Mary Jane or Lois Lane, ya know?). So the fact that she's gone? Makes me sad.
Also, I did not see Harvey's death coming. And I hope what I heard from
And Jim BAMF Gordon with his fake death and his coming back was just so absolutely fantastic. I want my own Jeff Gordon. I really, really do.
As for Christian Bale -- he looks really, really pretty on a motorcycle. And in suits. And I. Want. One.

and they better not kill off Harvey Dent, because that's just ridic.

I KNOW. I really thought he was going to be the villain for the next movie but now I'm not so sure.

I liked Harvey Dent a lot (despite that he reminded me a little bit of Brad Chase. Maggie was much much better than Katie Holmes. I'm kind of sad she's gone too.

I have a huge soft spot a mile wide for Maggie Gyllenhall. So it made me happy that it was her performance Rachel went out on, rather than Katie's.

I agree that Heath was absolutely perfect. Actually, another thing that made me incredibly sad was that they didn't say what happened to the Joker - you could tell that they were trying to leave the ending ambiguous, so that they could bring back the Joker.

And I was crushed when I thought they killed Jim Gordon. He's such a staple in the Batman canon, I couldn't believe that they were really killing him off.
