- I'm officially a journalism major. Which probably means I should start paying closer attention to world events.
- One of the whitest boys in my class used the phrase "Superman that ho" in a Development of Mass Media presentation.
- My American West professor is letting me write a paper on Firefly.

Firefly paper? Oh my god, that is awesome.

I'm such a nerd, my freshman year I bounced around like a fangirl when my Constitutional Law professor told me I could write my 8-10 page final paper on police work.

Hee -- I have to check with someone else in the class who's also presenting on Firefly, but as long as it's cool with them (I'm doing one aspect of it's place in the Western genre, while I think they're doing a more general sweep) he pretty much gave me the go-ahead.

Whoo! Firefly paper!

In my lit genres class we were discussing a poem about the Titanic and somehow it became about Superman and supersex and.. something else, I can't remember. We had to present some of it to the class and wrote it on the whiteboard. The teacher didn't get it.

My teacher's like, seventy something, but he loves it when we tie in modern culture to what we're studying.

I have to figure out how I'll cite everything though. That could take a while.

Not necessarily mine either, but I'm starting to really like it a lot.

He does, but he was illustrating a point. And it was relevant to the point, it was just the last thing in the world we expected him to say.
