Summary: Three figures meet on the crossroads of a deserted road.
Author's Note: Updating for this will be slow going, but I will try and post a chapter a week, real life permitting. This also involves some lore not yet explored on the show, but I tried to meld it enough to fit into what Kripke has established as canon.
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Supernatural. They're owned by the CW. However, any and all original characters are mine, so please do not use them without my permission.
Two men stood at the crossroads and waited. They were dressed rather well for two people standing on the deserted crossroads in the middle of nowhere. They were both tall, good looking men in suits—one, the blond, was leaning casually against a sign post, with his hands sitting in his pockets, while the other, a dark haired, more menacing looking out, paced feverishly next to him, looking rather uncomfortable with the situation. A few more moments passed, and he turned to the blond with a slight growl.
“This was a mistake.”
“Would you relax? She will be here.”
“She should have been here by now.”
“She usually doesn’t take care of these things herself. Word needs to be reached of exactly who wants to see her.”
“I still think this is a mistake. Throwing our league in with her?”
“She wants this to come to an end just as much as we do. This new demon in the West—”
“It happened on her watch, Gabriel. She let this happen! She let Azazel bring about the Antichrist!”
“Samuel Winchester is not the Antichrist. At least not yet. Besides, she can’t be held responsible for the choice Azazel made. You know her—she’s rather hands off that way.”
“I still think this is a mistake. A big fat—”
The wind started to pick up slightly and he turned, making out the figure of a dark-haired woman in a black cocktail dress, coming towards them from the distance. She strutted up to them slowly, giving them a lazy grin once she got close enough, obviously rather amused to see these two particular men waiting for.
“Blow, Gabriel, blow,” she grinned at the light haired man, her eyes flashing red as she reached over to dust something off his suit lightly. She then shot the other one a slightly disgusted look over her shoulder. “Michael.”
Michael just glared, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “Avnas.”
The disgusted look turned to a glower, and she turned from Gabriel to fully face him. “I don’t go by that name anymore.”
“Oh, right, I’m sorry—Amy,” Michael rolled his eyes, and looked back at her. “What took you so long?”
“Oh, did I keep you waiting?” she said, giving them both an amused smirk. “Sorry ‘bout that. I was in the middle of another deal.”
“Don’t you have minions to take care of that?” Michael frowned.
“Well, I don’t when Sammy Winchester runs around shooting them all,” she said with a pout. “And she was one of my best salesgirls too.”
“Shooting them?” Gabriel frowned, turning Amy’s attention back to him.
“You haven’t heard?” she said, raising an eyebrow. “There’s a rogue among us. Goes by Ruby, spends her time building weapons to kill all the demons.”
“Good for her!”
“Fuck you, Michael,” Amy rolled her eyes, before turning back to Gabriel. “Back when Samuel Colt was still alive she fashioned a gun that would do the same. The Winchesters were in possession of it until two days ago.”
“And what happened two days ago?” Gabriel asked.
“I hired someone to steal it for me,” she said with a grin. “So now it’s my demon killing gun.”
“I’m sure you’ll put it to great use,” Michael rolled his eyes this time. “At least this Ruby girl is evening the playing field.”
Amy rolled her eyes dramatically. “Details, details. I’m assuming you summoned me for a reason, am I right?”
“We did,” Gabriel nodded, crossing his arms in front of his chest again.
“So—out with it then? What do the big boys upstairs want with lil ol’ me?”
“We know that you don’t want this new power to succeed any more than we do,” Michael began. “You want things to go back to the way they were, before things got out of hand.”
“And we also have found out that you have the means of helping that cause along,” Gabriel continued.
“I’m not sure what you mean,” she said, giving them a look.
“You do know,” Michael demanded. “You know damn well.”
She frowned for a minute, before realization hit her. “You want to take away my pet before I even get him!”
“It’s for the greater good, Amy,” the blond angel began.
“Damn the greater good, Gabriel!” she said, eyes flashing as she turned on him. “He made a choice. He exchanged his brother’s life for his own, and by that law his soul is mine.”
“If you don’t do this, the world as we know it will come to an end,” Gabriel sighed, trying to reason with her. “And I know that you don’t want that.”
She pursed her lips slightly, before sighing. “I hate you both.”
“We know you do,” Gabriel smirked. She glared back at him before crossing her arms in front of her chest.
“Is there anything else you need me for?”
“No, Amy,” Gabriel sighed, shaking his head. “That’s all.”
“Does this mean you’ll do it?” Michael demanded.
“I’ll consider it.”
“This isn’t the time for semantics, Amy!” Michael replied. “We’re talking about the apocalypse, the end of days!”
“I will consider it,” she said with a glare, the wind starting to pick up around them again, swirling around her as her anger rose. “I have a choice too, remember?”
“We’ll await your decision,” Gabriel said firmly, before the two men disappeared from view with barely a glance from her. She remained where she was in the crossroads, before shaking her head and starting to make her way out again.
“Damn you, you already know what it is,” she muttered as she left, disappearing from the road with a loud crack.
