Origin of Name: Hawthorne and Milton was already Cora's old firm from back in LA. Ben Hawthorne was the name I'd given to Ben's father, and he seemed like the type of guy who would have a Jr.
Random Fact about his Creation: I wanted to used Josh Duhamel as a PB and Ben needed to be very pretty?
Random Fact about his backstory: He was a bit of a playboy when he was younger.
Random Fact about his forestory: He really, really likes Kala. He wants to take care of her.

Michaela
Origin of Name: I had a old OC named Michaela Shea, and I liked he name, so I kept it.
Random Fact about her Creation: I have no willpower?
Random Fact About her Backstory: She doesn't do love well. In fact, she tries not to do it at all.
Random Fact about her Forestory: She's a total meme whore. Seriously.

Cora:
Origin of name: I used the name for a character in another series, but she was a business exec. I took the name and made her a lawyer.
Random Creation Fact: She's all Cassie's fault.
Random Backstory Fact: She liked Riley more than she'd care to admit.
Random Forestory Fact: She and Green have the potential to have a very interesting relationship.

Awww, she needs to be taken care of. She just doesn't realize it, yet. She is starting to realize she likes him more than..well...she realized. Hehe.

She and Green had a drink together after the whole Layla fiasco. They've come to a sort of awkward truce, and he doesn't think she's as bad as he originally thought she was. She finds him kind of interesting, because she wants to figure out how to push his buttons now that he doesn't have the blond anymore.

Origin of Names: I wanted something that would sound good with Sandy, but Danny was too cliche, so I went with Eddie instead.
Random Creation Fact: I have no willpower?
Random Backstory Fact: Eddie would kill for his sister, and Sandy would do the same for him. In face, Eddie almost did once.
Random Forestory Fact: I'm -- not really sure. We're working on that.

Anna, Cassavelli, Angie, Chelsea and Lizzie (since you asked about Robert). And I have the same question about each of them: why did you pick the woman you picked for them to look like? And one extra question for Lizzie: how many people does she let call her Lizzie?

Anna:
Origin of his/her name: Scherlacker was the last name of this kid I knew in high school. Anna just worked with the first name.
Random facts surrounding his/her creation: I actually wanted to write Jenny first, but Jenny needed a friend and Anna kind of exploded.
Random fact of his/her backstory: If she had stayed with her parents, she probably would have never really been the traveler that she is.
Random fact of his/her forestory: She and Dean have a lot of issues they need to work out. But they'll get there. Eventually.
Why did I pick the woman I picked to play her? Anna was originally supposed to be a blond, but blond didn't really work for her. Then I was looking for someone who was short with long dark hair, and I started flipping through pictures of actresses, and I was a fan of Rachel from when she was on The OC, and she had the right look I was going for.

Cassavelli:
Origin of his/her name: I needed a really Italian name. Cassavelli worked.
Random facts surrounding his/her creation: I really wasn't going to develop her much -- but then she latched onto Adam and wouldn't let go.
Random fact of his/her backstory: She grew up kicking Danny's ass.
Random fact of his/her forestory: I have to write her wedding --
How did I pick the person who plays her? Evangeline Lily plays Kate on Lost, and Kate is pretty, but still a tough and tumble kind of girl, which is what I wanted to go with for Cassavelli.

Angie:
Origin of his/her name: Angie and Val seemed to really go together.
Random facts surrounding his/her creation: Val needed a sister, and then Angie kind of exploded.
Random fact of his/her backstory: I have to go back and edit some things, because I'm revamping her storyline slightly. Some of the older stuff I did with her was a bit too -- cliche.
Random fact of his/her forestory: I may be seriously injuring Val...possibly.
How did I pick the person who played her? With this one, I just saw Anna Nalick and it clicked. There really wasn't much debating about it. I needed someone who was young-looking but not too young, and who would be able to change her look easily, and Anna just clicked for it.

Chelsea:
Origin of his/her name: Chelsea is a name I always liked and it worked well with the character.
Random facts surrounding his/her creation: She was only supposed to be the best friend, and then like most of my characters, she exploded.
Random fact of his/her backstory: She and her sister are closer than they seem.
Random fact of his/her forestory: And they get even closer after Eva's death.
How did I pick the person who played her? I originally cast her as Dagmara Dominicyzk, but she wasn't flirty enough for what I was going for. Then I was watching old reruns of Charmed with Rose McGowan and it just clicked.

Lizzie:
Origin of his/her name: Lizzie seemed to fit her best. I'm not really sure why, but it did.
Random facts surrounding his/her creation: Anderson needed a kid.
Random fact of his/her backstory: She spent a lot of time with her Aunt Marian, which is really going to impact her.
Random fact of his/her forestory: In that she takes a turn into the legal profession.
How did I pick the person who played her? I needed a teenager, and I was watching a TV show with some teenagers (I think I might have been looking for another character) and she just -- clicked.
How many people does she let call her Lizzie? People in her family and Robert. Aside from Robert, if you're not related to her by blood, don't even try it.

If she's a defense attorney I don't think she and Robert are going to get along well as adults professionally, because he's going to be really passionate about his job and what he does.

But anyway, my real point:

I may be seriously injuring Val...possibly.

I thinkthat could be very interesting and I can't wait to see what you do with it if you decide to go with it.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not she's going to be a defense attorney or an ADA. I think she might lean more to the prosecution side, though.

And as for Val -- I'm still tossing it around. I think I'm really going to do it though.

I think you should. It just depends on how seriously you want to hurt her, I think. And I don't think you'd do anything to her that would ruin her life.

Oh, no -- of course not. But it would still be a pretty scary moment for everyone involved.

Late in the series. Jeremy's gonna be 16, and at the point of Eric and Angie's wedding, he was only four or five.

By that point, Garrett's married Maka and Walter's been born, I think. He'd be a little kid, though, so I know roughly where I'd have it.

How many years do you think there's going to be between Jeremy and Walter?

How old was Jeremy when he visited Garrett in New York? Because if it's when I think it was, Maka was pregnant with Walter.

He was eight then. So about nine years?
