LAST SHOW YOU ADDED TO YOUR RESUME: Witness for the Prosecution I played Thomas (Theresa) Clegg.
LAST SHOW YOU AUDITIONED FOR: Wonder of the World/An Adult Evening with Shel Silverstein
DID YOU GET INTO IT: ...no.
LAST SONG YOU USED AT AN AUDITION: "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors
FAVORITE THEATRE (VENUE): oh, jeez, I don't have one.
FAVORITE MUSICAL: You're making me pick one?...Les Misérables, if i have to.
FAVORITE ROLE AND FROM WHAT SHOW?: that i've played? Snug the Joiner from A Midsummer Night's Dream
SUPERSTITION: jeez, we didn't have superstitions. we had traditions. Like belting out Bohemian Rhapsody in the costume room before every opening show.
LAST PART YOU PLAYED IN A SHOW: Clegg (Witness for the Prosecution)
YOUR GOAL IN SHOW BUSINESS: i wanna be a casting agent. i want to decide who gets in and who stays out.
FAVORITE DIRECTOR: Erik Hall. techinically his name wasn't really "director" but he helped me more than the real director ever did.
WHAT WAS YOUR VERY FIRST SHOW?: The Wizard of Oz (non-muscial). I was Auntie Em.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD A DANCE SOLO?: heh. no. i'm not really a musical performer.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD A SINGING SOLO?: no. see above.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THE LAST PERSON TO TAKE A BOW?: nope.
NAME A SHOW YOU'VE DONE MORE THAN TWO TIMES: none.
HAVE YOU BEEN TO NEW YORK?: ya-huh.
HAVE YOU BEEN TO LA?: ya-huh.
WHAT'S THE SCARIEST PART OF AN AUDITION?: the waiting before you audition. i hate waiting. makes my stomach jittery.
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF AN AUDITION? when it's over.
NAME A SHOW YOU WOULD NEVER DO AGAIN: oh, god. that has to be a tie between Witness and The Crucible. oy.
NAME A SHOW YOU COULD DO FOR YEARS: if i had the musical singing ability? Les Mis&eactuerables. just to be in the chorus to go from a dirty factory girl, to a whore, to a revolutionary...etc.
NAME A SHOW YOU WOULD LOVE TO DO BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN IN: Little Shop of Horrors.
NAME A PERSON YOU'D LIKE TO WORK WITH AGAIN: haven't worked with many people. i'll get back to you on that.
WHAT ARE YOU AUDITIONING FOR NEXT?: Love Rides the Rails. melodramatic comedy. right up my alley.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PERFORMING?: since i was eleven. technically.
DO YOU CARRY YOUR HEADSHOTS AROUND WITH YOU?: ...no.
DO YOU KEEP IN TOUCH WITH PAST CAST MEMBERS?: i try to.
ON A SCALE OF 1-10, HOW IMPORTANT IS GETTING PAID?: -2
WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PERFORMANCE?: probably a tie between Snug and Clegg. Snug was more of a physical comedy kind of thing, where Clegg i was on stage for all of two seconds, but i worked my ass off to find a way to make the character memorable.
WHAT'S SOMETHING EMBARRASSING OR UNEXPECTED THAT HAPPENED TO YOU WHILE ON STAGE?: heh. i had to set up the table during A Christmas Carol (i was mrs. crachit) and i had no idea what i was doing, so the table buckled and everything feel to the floor right in the middle of the performance. when i came off stage, hall told me my line should have been: "now this is why we can't have nice things."
WHO IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PERSON (ON STAGE OR OFF) THAT YOU HAVE EVER WORKED WITH?: my director in high school. she never really knew what she wanted.
EVER BEEN NAKED ON STAGE?: nope.
IF YOU COULD BE A RICH FAMOUS PORN STAR OR A STRUGGLING THEATRE ACTOR WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?: struggling theater actor.
BEST PROFESSIONAL SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: tie between Spamalot and The Color Purple
BEST COLLEGE SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: right now, i'd say MGSA's Proof, but i'm going to see one today so i'll let you know.
BEST HIGH SCHOOL SHOW(S) YOU'VE SEEN: dude...our high school was the best high school in the area. and i didn't go out much. i can't really think of the answer to this one.
ONSTAGE, HAVE YOU EVER...
...BEEN KILLED?: i was led off to be killed
...BEEN DRUNK/STONED?: no
...PLAYED SOMEONE HALF YOUR AGE?: no
...PLAYED SOMEONE TWICE YOUR AGE?: yes
...CRIED?: i faked it.
...FIRED A GUN?: no
...DRIVEN A CAR?: no
...BEEN DRENCHED?: no
...BEEN IN A DREAM SEQUENCE?: no
...BEEN KISSED?: no
IF YOU WERE ON BROADWAY RIGHT NOW, WHAT SHOW WOULD YOU WANT TO BE IN AND WHAT ROLE WOULD YOU PLAY?: Maureen from RENT or The Lady of the Lake from Spamalot. ideally speaking. i don't stand a chance on broadway, so there.
