Flack/Peyton - Company
TITLE: Company
AUTHOR:
iluvroadrunner6
CHALLENGE: #13 - Too Much
WORD COUNT: 305
DISCLAIMER: I don’t own the characters of CSI:NY. They’re owned by CBS.
SPOILERS: Season 3
RATING: PG
CHARACTERS: Peyton Driscoll and Don Flack
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is something that's been bumping around in my head for a while, (and because i basically ship Flack/Everyone) and I'm forcing it into drabble from because I really don't intend for this to go anywhere unless the show prompts me to, but at least it's getting out.
“I didn’t think you were the type to hang out at Sullivan’s Dr. Driscoll,” Peyton heard a familiar voice smirk from behind her, and she turned without hesitation. Flack stood behind her, and she gave him a smile.
“I’m not, usually,” she replied in her clipped accent, “I’m waiting for someone.”
“Well, if you don’t mind some company while you wait,” he said, gesturing to the empty stool next to her.
“I don’t mind at all,” she replied, before he sat down next to her. He gave the bartender a nod, and she continued, “You waiting for someone yourself, Detective?”
Flack glanced back at her at the use of the title. She gave him a smirk, “You did call me Dr. Driscoll.”
“No, Peyton,” he began, putting some emphasis on the name, “I’m not waiting for anyone.” The bartender placed a beer bottle down in front of him, and he raised it to her, “Just havin a beer after work.”
She nodded, before glancing at the door. She didn’t mind the company, but she knew that Mac wanted to keep their relationship private, so she wanted to cut him off before he ran into Flack. They weren’t necessarily worried about Flack figuring out their relationship, but there was a chance that he could. The man wasn’t a total idiot.
“So, Doc,” he said with a grin, “Who you waitin for? Hot date?”
“Nobody special,” she replied stiffly.
“Meaning none of my business,” Flack replied with a smirk. His name sounded from the other end of the bar, and he got up, grabbing his beer off the bar, “You know, Peyton, there is such a thing as too much privacy. And it usually blows up in everyone’s faces.”
Peyton watched him as he walked away, and she knew without a shadow of a doubt.
He knows.

I'm really starting to like Delko again. I'm very happy about that, be cause I honestly loved him in S1 and S2.

especially considering i've seen relatively little of speedle. and he seems like a pretty cool character.
plus i heard that delko speaks russian at some point, and if him speaking spanish makes me loose coherent thought, i could only imagine what the russian would do.
