OK, so -- this episode made me want to write CSI:NY/SPN fic. Specifically Danny/Bela. Don't ask me how my brain came up with Danny/Bela, but it did. I also got a bunny in which the family Winchester (including cousin Lindsay) having to investigate some kind of case that includes Lindsay saying to Bobby (I think):

"If this isn't evident that I'm part Winchester I don't know what is. Instead of running away from the mysterious and spooky, I run towards it."

Inserts by my cracktastic brain aside, this episode was just weird. The whole voodoo bit, and then the whole Amnityville horror setup? Weeeeeeeird. And there wasn't nearly enough Flack or Hawkes.

Although I did love "Happy Hallo-weird."

And Adam being all anxious about the whole zombie thing is really not helping me separate him from his character in "Hell House." Which is also not helping keep the crossover bunnies at bay. *grumbles slightly*

Overall, I guess the episode was pretty good. A bit over the top, but OK. And even though it was a Danny/Lindsay case -- no overtly shippy moments. I liked that. A lot.

How adorable is he? Seriously? *lol*

Not nearly enough Flack or Hawkes, I agree. *pout* Both of them would have been awesome in spooky Halloween scenes, and they were pushed to the back. :(

So cute. I loved the little bit of Adam we got in this.

And it makes me sad that they were underused in this. I mean, couldn't you just see Flack in the voodoo place, being his usual snarky self?

Man, Flack being snarky in the voodoo place, or freaking out about a haunted house (we haven't forgotten your fear of ghosts, Flack m'boy), or sneaking candy out of someone's trick-or-treat bowl would have been golden--how can you have a big Halloween episode and not insert a few chuckles courtesy of Mr. Flack??

And Hawkes--I can just see him being overly excited about something like the zombie explanation (a la his enthusiasm in "Time's Up" over time travel), or at least being adorably squishable with some kids (a la "Grand Murder at Central Station" with Emily and her teddy bear).

So much missed opportunity! *sigh*

So, so much. Think of how great Hawkes would have been with Rose! That would have been such a cute scene.

Of course now I want to see this...hopefully it's still on the DVR. And I don't watch SPN but your story idea sounds cool. Hee -- you always seem to be writing interesting things, you crossover addict. :P

It's not like I want to be thinking of these things. They just come into my brain and sit there. It's not fun some of the time.
