Author's Note: Umm--OK. It's pure fluff, and a bunny I've kind of had in my head since I saw the pilot. I really, really, really would like feedback on this. I'm not crossposting it anywhere (yet) and it's kind of drabblish, so read? Please?
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Pushing Dasies. They're owned by ABC. However, any and all original characters are mine, so please do not use them without my permission.

Lonely Tourist Charlotte Charles was sixty-nine years, two months, three weeks, five days, four hours and ten minutes old when she received her last kiss. While she was more likely to go buy Chuck than the full title, and the notoriety of her first death had died out fairly soon after it had happened, she never had anything that merited a change in the nickname. She was now waiting for the kiss she had expected to have forty years earlier, when she and the Piemaker were standing in the funeral home where he had rescued her from her own death the first time around. She had asked him to be her last kiss all those years ago, and it was a request she still wanted to be honored. Now he was standing next to her with the same shy yet easy smile he had give her all those years ago, except now there were crows feet around his eyes and soft wrinkes around the corners of his mouth.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked. He was shorter now than she had remembered him being, his shoulders hunched slightly with age, but the smile and the eyes were still the same. He slowly slide his hands down into his pockets, the gesture the same, but the hands different, and Chuck smiled, knowing that she had never been more sure of anything in her unnaturally lengthened life.

“I’m sure,” she nodded. “You were my first kiss, and you promised me you’d be my last. I want to make sure I get it before life cheats me out of it.”

Ned only smiled before sitting down on the edge of the hospital bed next to her. It was a moment before his long legs slid up onto the bed next to her, his body moving slower than he used to. He stretched a long arm across her waist and he leaned over her, the same smile she loved still on his face.

“You sure?” he asked again, and she looked up and him, eyes full of trust and love.

“I’m sure.”

He then leaned in gently, and kissed her softly, the kiss she had been waiting for since the first time he had kissed her through the plastic of the body bags. She blocked everything else out, letting the last thought she had as she drifted away into the black be how warm his lips felt without the thin cold of plastic wrap between them.

It's as ridiculously sweet as the show is, so it fits. If you were writing about anyone else, it probably would be too sweet, but fits them perfectly. It also manages to capture the atmostphere of the show rather well.

Oh, thank you! I was really kind of worried about this. I love the show, but the voices are so distinct, I was afraid I'd butcher them.
