Claims for fic_variations has just opened up again, and I thought I'd pimp it out a bit since it's a community I love, and I'd definitely love to see more people play.

Basically you get one prompt a month, and you're allowed to make a claim for whatever you want -- a character, a pairing, a fandom, what have you -- and you have to write either 3-5 fics or 5-7 drabbles for that prompt with your chosen claim before the end of the month. Then, the next month you get a new prompt, get to pick a new claim, and it starts all over again. It really is a lot of fun, especially if you want to test yourself out with a character/pairing/new fandom and don't want to commit to a full table or something like that.

They've also just recently opened up fv_amnesty, which is for if you dont' finish your claim in a month, where you post once you've finished them. Which is good for people life me, who's RL commitments have not been helpful in letting me finish claims.
