I KNEW COLBY DIDN'T DO IT! AND NOT JUST BECAUSE I WAS SPOILED.

Well, he did do it. But he gave them fake stuff not the real stuff because Colby was a good guy all along. But dude, did we really need to prove that by bringing on the angst? I mean, come on! Colby and David are gonna be all angsty and not-partner-like, and I'll have to write a lot of my cracktastic OC-verse, (including a Don/Val piece, because I never really got around to that one during the finale--I forgot about Don) and it's just not making me happy. It's good to know that Colby's back though. And that he's not a traitor. He was just pretending.

But we all knew that.

LARRY! It made me so happy to see Larry again. And I love Megan's short hair. And I wonder if we're ever going to find out what she was off doing for the DoJ, because it sounds like there's a nice little angsty backstory in there somewhere.

Oh, Don. He took what happened with Colby so hard, and I just kept thinking back to "One Hour" where he was stuck in the shrink and it came out that he really didn't trust his team. Because I think he was trying to work on that towards the end of the season and then this whole thing with Colby happened and it really just was like a punch to the gut for him. When he was talking to Alan in the beginning and he was all "it's all my fault" I wanted to hug him so badly. Because he wanted to trust Colby, he really did, and Colby just kind of tore that to shreds.

And David. Oh, David. David, David, David. *clings*

Regardless, everyone is getting fic outta this. Definitely some David/Angie and Don/Val, possibly some David/Natalia, and definitely some Colby/Christina. I'm all excited and plot bunny filled now.

I totally knew Colby was a triple agent, or a double-double agent, or an agent-squared...he is the exponential agent. :)

I'll bet the Colby/David shippers are squirming in their slash pants right now. :P

Oh, definitely. And it's probably some nice angsty slash too. Angst is always fun, no matter what kind of pairing it is. (In small doses, at least.)

*waves* You know I'm one of those with my slash pants halfway up my stomach (and I'm sure there will be angsty slash coming), but I can tell you right now what I came away wanting to write was more character-based internal strugglings. Stuff like David hoping Colby was guilty so he wouldn't have to face the fact that he whole-heartedly believed his best friend was guilty (especially when even Don was having doubts). Or Colby, sitting in the back of the transport, wondering what it would be like if he just turned himself in, and spent some time in a prison, and it can't be as bad as the looks on everyone's faces. The days afterwards, when Colby's getting better, Megan's optimistic, David is withdrawn, and Don is just trying to put his team back together...

Interestingly enough, I didn't really care at all about the math stuff or the math team. It was like FBIFBIFBI-yay Larry, Charlie needs a bit of a haircut, and woah when did Amita move in?-FBIFBIFBI...

Alan still rocks hardcore though. :D When does he not?

I did too, but as of this moment, I can't write Numb3rs without one of my crack-verses getting involved. Something I want to change, but I'm not going to argue with the bunnies at the moment.

lol. Yeah, the math wasn't really that important this time around. I still found Charlie and Larry interesting, but the rest of it was just--filler for until they got back to Colby.

I love Alan. So freakin' much.

Okay, so I had this entry open in a tab, but I didn't look at it. Instead, I waited until my episode finished downloading-and then couldn't take it anymore and read it anyway. I'm about to go watch the ep, so I'll be back later with comments and reactions and flailing discussion.

IT WAS JUST THAT OBVIOUS. :D

Everybody is love. ♥!

Most definitely.

You so need to write Colby/Christina!!!

And there are so many stories that could out of this. I mean the angst potential is just astronical.

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Most definitely. The angst out of this was just too perfect. (As much as I don't like angst sometimes, its times like this when it's just perfect.

I agree

There was enough perfect angst that I might write fanfic for something other than CSI:NY *gasp* but it is just so very there.

I really am not that much of an angst bunny--I really do like writing fluff--but angsty episodes just give so many good bunnies.

The moment I heard about Colby being on the Janus List and him being a traitor I knew it wasn't true, or that there was a reasonable explanation about it. And I actually thought CIA, and that he had a handler, I even started writing a fic just after the last episode of S3, and before I saw Trust Metric. It's just not Colby, he wouldn't do it just because he could, there always had to have been a reason and there was.

It still made me nervous though. I mean, I know Colby--but we only really know what's presented to us. So it made me really sad that they thought he was a traitor.

I'm glad things are starting to get back to normal for them now.
