I've decided to write all my

summer_bits fics for my massive crossover series of DOOOOOOM!! (A Place for Us) so--seven fics from there when I get back. I've also added Mac/Catherine to the ship list because--they're too much fun. (I have too much fun trying to write Mac with Lindsey, actually. Not in a romantic way (ew) but in a parental (sort of) way.)

Anyway, I've also got another OC for the Angie!verse when I get back. She's a jumpy, spotlight grabbing attention whore Me!Me!Me! kinda girl, and she's going to drive Ryan up the freakin' wall. I don't think I'm going to be writing her much till season 6 starts though, so I can see how the spoilers pan out.

Origin of his/her name:
Mitch was actually created before Riley was, for another project. Originally I had Mitch and Laura Toth as siblings, and then decided to add on the twins Riley and Rowan as older siblings.

Random facts surrounding his/her creation:
I needed a troublemaker, and he was more than happy to do it.

Random fact of his/her backstory:
He really likes college. He only dropped out (twice) to cause drama--he likes that more.

Random fact of his/her forestory:
He needs more places to cause drama. I need to write him a lot more with different characters.

Is he jealous of Riley?
Only on the rare, rare occasion when Riley has managed to piss their parents off more than he has. He thinks Riley is a really big stick in the mud.

Did they get along as kids?
Mitch was the baby, and there's a large age difference between them. They didn't hate each other, but they weren't exactly hanging out either.

If Riley needed bailed out of jail, what would he do?
First of all, he'd never let Riley live it down, whether Riley had actually done it or not. He'd bail him out eventually, but he'd definitely take his sweet time doing it.

If his life was in danger?
If Riley's life was in danger...I dunno. It would depend on the danger, and how he was feeling about Riley at the moment what kind of action he would take. If his own life was in danger, he would do his best to get the hell out of there.

What kind of jobs does he have?
Well, he was working as Jamie Ross's assistant for a while, but that was the last job he had.

Are they legal?
He usually doesn't take illegal jobs. He's smarter than that. Most of the illegal trouble he gets into tends to be assaulting people.

If not, does Riley know?
If he had an illegal job, Riley would definitely not know. Mitch doesn't feel it's wise to let his brother in on his activities anyway.

Riley.

Origin of his/her name:
I actually thought up Rowan, his twin, first. I needed two names that sounded good together, and Riley and Rowan worked in my head.

Random facts surrounding his/her creation:
I actually created him for another project, that had absolutely nothing to do with L&O, but when I decided to come up with my own lawyer for SIU, he just seemed to fit.

Random fact of his/her backstory:
He was (and still is to some extent) very shy. He rarely ever went up to anyone for anything.

Random fact of his/her forestory:
He needs a girlfriend. He really needs a girlfriend.

Cora didn't seem to work well as an only child, but I didn't want her to have any biological siblings (for some reason she didn't like that) so I decided to give her some stepsiblings.

One of her ex-boyfriends came on to Cora once. She didn't do anything about it (she does have some standards) but it still didn't leave the two of them on the best of terms.

She's had her wedding, and I don't know how often she'll be coming back, but she's a lot of fun to write.

I needed to think of something that went with Jake, and Jake and Hilary seemed to fit really well.

I really wasn't planning to flesh her out until I realized that I was leaving Flack all by his lonesome, and that just wouldn't work.

Random fact of his/her backstory:
She quit med school twice. It was only for about a day both times, and it was only because she was panicking about if it was really for her, but she did quit.

Random fact of his/her forestory:
She and Flack get married. I just have to decide if they're sneaking off to do it, or it's going to be a bit whoop-dee-do.

If Hil and Don did get married sooner and were able to have kids what would they name them?
If it's a girl, it's Andrea, and if it's a boy, it's Eric. Don, however, gets no say either way.

(I know that the tattoo is a given) What's Hilary's story for her tattoo?
Very stupid, very drunk experience during college. But in the end it kinda grew on her, so she never got it removed. (She has her initials and the Greek letters for her sorority just above her hip.

What happens when McCallahan finds out one of his friends is sleeping with his sister?
At first he's not really happy about it. The idea kinda grows on him, and he's a pain in her ass for a while, but he knows that it's Flack, and Flack isn't going to screw over his sister. Although if he does, he's a dead man.

Which one of the OC's I've written would get along with Hilary the best in your opinion?
Probably Amy. I think.

Her favorite band/song?
"When I'm Sixty-Four" by the Beatles.

Does she like pie?
She's more of a cake person, actually. But she really likes pumpkin pie.

Originally I was only thinking of last names, so I just went with two that sounded good together (Anderson and McCallahan kinda had a ring to it) and then I needed to give him a first name, and I flip-flopped between Jack and Jake for a while, but Jake kinda stuck.

I wanted four Vice detectives. He really was created for no other purpose until the RR.

He really did consider being a surgeon. But he really thought he didn't have the intelligence for the job, and decided to give it up for something he knew he could do better.

I'm pondering putting him in a life or death situation (most likely car accident) but I haven't decided yet. (All I seem to do in that series is hurt/maime/kill people.)

Honestly? He would have given her every opportunity to get out, but if she didn't say no, he probably would have done it. It wouldn't have been something he was proud of, either, but he still would have done it.

What does he consider the most annoying thing about Resa, Darren and Anderson (either individually or as a group)?
Resa's abusive. He doesn't like being on the recieving end when she's in a bad mood. He thinks Mullvaney is too passive when it comes to other people sometimes, and wants to smack him for not being more assertive. And Anderson--well, that just depends on the day and how bored Anderson is. Could be anything from spitballs to not shutting up.

When's the last time he decked someone, and why did he do it?
About a year before he met Rachel, and it was his sister's ex-boyfriend. He was a cop, and he wasn't happy with the way Hilary had ended the relationship, so he started talking smack about her when he didn't realize that Jake was around. Jake wasn't too happy about that, considering that none of the things were true.

Other than the conversation you have the icon of that he had with Lindsay, what else does he not want anyone to know?
The full extents of how far he'll go sexually. He'll talk about sex, but he's not exactly comfortable with it.

How many women has he had sex with in elevators, Rachel included?
Two--sometimes three--that he'll admit to, but there've been more. He doesn't usually go into detail about his sexual exploits, no matter who's asking.

Does he ever see himself as being a good parent, or does the idea of being a parent scare the hell out of him?
Little of both. He thinks that given the opportunity, he could raise a kid without screwing him up too much, but he's not going to deny that he doesn't have his faults. It would definitely depend on his partner and other factors in his life.

What is his biggest regret?
Breaking up with Marjorie the first time around. They lost a lot of time that he wished they'd had. (Not that he regrets being with Rachel at all, he really liked her. He just wished the timeline had been a bit different.)

Who would he rather have to deal with: Anderson being pissed at him or Hilary being pissed at him?
Anderson. With him it's a bit of the silent treatment, maybe a little physical pushing around. With Hilary it's psychological warfare.

What's his favorite movie?
The Superman movies with Christopher Reeve. He loved them growing up.

What's the hardest case he's ever had to deal with?
The case where he realized that his partner was dirty was probably the hardest. The subject matter wasn't that extreme, but finding out the truth really hurt him.

Origin of his/her name:
The last name came to me first. Cassavelli, and then I needed to think of an appropriate Italian sounding name to go with it, and I got Theresa. One of my dad's cousin is a Theresa nicknamed Resa, so that's how I got that.

I actually created her for something else. But when that muse died and went away, I realized she'd fit in better here.

Random fact of his/her backstory:
If she hadn't decided to become a cop, she probably would still be working in her father's store, but she'd also still try to be covering for her brothers. (She'd also probably have a family already. And she'd be miserable.)

Random fact of his/her forestory:
I haven't decided where I'm going with her yet. She's definitely not getting married (just not her thing) but I can see her wanting to hold on to Adam. He's the most stable thing she's had in a while.

What was the very first thing about Adam she fell in love with?
Hrmm--the way he was so shy around her. Usually she didn't go for guys like that, but she found it adorable when it came to him.

What was the first recipie she learned how to make?
Helena taught her to make chicken parmesan when she was ten. It didn't taste as good as hers does now, but it was a pretty decent start.

Who could beat her in a shouting match?
Her brother, Joey. He has kind of this loud booming voice that drowns her out, and eventually she gets sick of it and gives in, unless it's a topic that means a lot to her.

Is there every any time when Danny's teased her that she just took it?
No. From an early age, she refused to take any crap from him. It's what he finds most annoying about her.

All three, unless it's soft serve, and then it's just vanilla.

DARIUS:

Origin of his/her name:
Darius just seemed to be the name that popped into my head. It wasn't really picked for any special reason.

He used to be in theater a lot more, but when it came to making money, he decided he liked his chances with fashion better.

Will comes to him, not the other way around. The two of them wind up staying in Seattle for a long time.

What is the weirdest piece of clothing someone has shown him as part of their collection?
There was this dress once--bright, flashing, neon colors with some kind of LED lights floating around on it. He had to figure out how to let the designer down gently.

How did his first date with Will go?
They didn't really have one. People kept interrupting and not leaving them alone.

What happened when he came out to his parents (if he did...I can't quite remember)?
He told his mom first. It took some time for her to adjust to the idea, but they're on OK terms now. When he told his dad though--it didn't end so well. The most they speak to each other is basically "Pass the ______."

What's his apartment in Seattle like?
Decent sized two bedroom. (He used to have a roommate, but when he moved out, Darius knew he could afford the rent on his own, so he just keeps it as a guest room.) He wants to do a remodeling, but he's just waiting to build up enough cash.

If he got offered the chance to move back to NYC but he'd have to stay away from Will, would he do it?
Unless he could find a way to cheat, probably not. He'd rather deal with the three thousand mile distance.

VAL:

Origin of his/her name:
Val and Angie just seemed to kind of go together.

I think Val actually came before Angie, but I didn't write her first. The Angie bunny just kind of had a mind of it's own, so it was easier to write her.

She misses society life sometimes--even though she knows the life she has now is much more fulfilling.

She played Barbies and stuff like that with her sister, but she didn't have the kind of imagination Angie did. She just stuck to what had been created for her.

Long, backless, midnight blue gown. Wasn't her first evening dress, but it was one of the ones she loved the most.

'I thought having sex was supposed to solve this problem.'

Usually some kind of lite dressing (usually ranch), and maybe bacon bits if she's in the mood.

Chelsea has always been a favorite name of mine, and it seemed to fit the character.

She likes her mother more than she cares to admit. She just doesn't want to be her.

Probably not. She really cared about him (despite what her actions may say to the contrary--to him anyway) and she liked the way he treated her. She probably would have stuck around for a lot longer.

She likes color, but she has her fair share of black and white as well. She tries to find a balance.

What play does she really want to do?
Ophelia in Hamlet. It's been her dream role for a long time.

Chelsea can be a lot of empty threats that way. I think the worst thing she's ever done is probably broke his nose, and that was after she caught him hitting on her sister (who was underage at the time).

Created the last name first (Mullvaney) and then when he decided he needed to be fleshed out more (I had no say whatsoever) he said his name was Darren.

He would have taken her to Coney Island. More for the beach than the boardwalk, but they could have done a little of both, weather permitting.

Lauren. Though Damien's a close second, he and Lauren fight almost constantly.

Probably homicide. If he was feeling really masochistic, he might work for IAB, but he'd rather be in homicide.

Sour cream and onion. Hands down.

Who does he admire the most int his world?
His mom. She had to raise six kids. And two of them were him and Damien.

Finally got to read all of these. All of a sudden I really want to see Garrett and Maka running into Chelsea somewhewe. And I can't wait to see what you'd write for a wedding between Darren and Lindsay.

I really have the feeling that if Chelsea had put the proper effort in and didn't let her head get in the way, she could have really fallen for Garrett. And she might have, a little, and she just didn't want to admit it.

As for the wedding--oy. I have too many weddings, but I know that Danny and Lilly are definitely waiting until I get around to my

12_developments claim, because one of the fics definitely involves her mother.

Man, if Garrett finds that out it would probably make him depressed for a little while. He was falling for her hard.

I can't wait to read that particular wedding.

None of her other boyfriends had treated her the way he did. Most of them were good to her, yes, but she felt like a princess when she was with him. She kinda liked that.

Cora Parker.

Origin of his/her name:
I have a friend of a friend named Caroline, and everyone calls her Cora as a nickname. I always thought that was kinda cool.

Random fact surrounding his/her creation: All Cassie's fault. She suggested that I NPC a high-priced defense attorney for SIU, and she kind of exploded into a full out character.

Random fact of his/her backstory:
She used to be incredibly shy, until she got burned pretty badly and decided to be more assertive with herself.

Random fact of his/her forestory: I dunno. She needs to get out more. Make more friends. Then we'll see where she goes. But there definitely aren't wedding bells in her future for a long, long time.
