RATING: PG

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Used the NCIS premiere "Yankee White" for my prompt. This is basically a little taste of the OC I claimed for the
quoted20. I don't know Marty's opinion on Eli Manning, nor do I know if Danny is a Jets fan. However, I do know that Marty likes the Giants, and that is all. And the game mentioned here is an actual Giants came that happened recently this weekend. I didn't make it up.
“You only say that because you want to jump Eli Manning,” Marty Pino quipped as he, Danny, and Lilly sat in the break room, eating lunch. Lilly rolled her eyes, before putting down the burger in her hand.
“Pino,” she began, using her hands to demonstrate, “The Giants were losing by seventeen points. They kept Manning in, he threw three touchdowns, three hundred seventeen yards in about three minutes to tie the game, and then they won in overtime.”
“Yes, but Manning also got sacked eight times!” Marty loved the Giants. But he couldn’t stand Eli Manning. Lilly was hoping that he would at least admit that Manning was a good player, but Marty was hearing none of it so far.
“That’s not necessarily his fault he’s got a bad offensive line.”
“Don’t you blame the offensive line for this!”
“He got sacked eight times, Marty!”
“What do you think Danny?” Marty said, and both of their eyes fell on the, until that moment, silent member of the room. Danny looked up from his food, and glanced at the two of them, wanting to offer an opinion, but really not knowing what to say.
“I—” he cleared his throat before glancing back down at his food, deciding which was the best lie to use, “—I don’t really follow football that closely. I’m more of a baseball kinda guy.”
Lilly looked at him, nodding slowly while Marty shook his head with a laugh.
“Baseball, huh?” she grinned.
“He just doesn’t want to admit his girlfriend knows more about football than he does.”
“That and I like the Jets,” Danny replied quicky, and he suddenly found himself bathed in a shower of soda. He listened as the woman sitting next to him got up and walked away, eyes closed. “I don’t think I deserved that.”
