About Me!
Hi! Welcome to--my brain.
About Me:
I'm Emily, I'm nineteen, and I'm a hermit. My social life is a joke, and I'm finding that I kinda like it that way. I spend way to much time on the internet (on this site, specifically), write ridiculous amounts of fic (mostly its in the CSIverse and Supernatural at the moment, but crack!crossovers are one of my favorite things to write). I RP a bit too, not really hardcore, but its fun and I enjoy it.
I am probably one of the suckiest commenters in the world. I don't really comment on RL posts much, unless I feel I have something interesting to say about it, or it's a meme. (I'm a meme addict.) I try to comment on as much fic as possible, but there are times when I even feel too lazy to do that. You probably won't hear from me much, but that doesn't mean I don't keep up. I'm addicted to my flist. I probably read almost every post that comes my way. That being said, my instant messaging handles and my e-mail are in my profile. You ever want to just chat with me about anything--I'd be happy to hear from you. (I also suck at holding up a conversation, but I have really lame social skills to begin with, so it's not you. It's me.)
**About Friend's Cuts**
If you decide to cut me from your list, (especially those of you who are friends only) please let me know. Most of you do general flist cut posts which is fine. The thing is it pisses me off more than anything else to just be cut off from someone and not even know about it. I'm probably going to understand if you cut me, hell, its your journal. Just let me know that you did, so I can do the same.
Fandom Stuff:
I'm a fan of the fandom first and foremost. I may disagree with the directions the writers are going, but I still will watch the show. I'm not a big fan of canon ships on a procedural drama (mostly the CSIs). I don't like the way the writers have handled some of them (mostly Danny/Lindsay). I don't really care if you are more supportive of one ship, I just like that we have the fandom in common. I do episode commentary on all the episodes that really got a reaction out of me. If it was a 'meh' episode, I probably won't write about it. But I like dicussion, so I'll probably comment on other people's reviews and all that. If you want to talk about ships in those that's fine by me, but I won't bring it up much.
There is one kind of big exception to that, and that's the incest ships (Petrellicest, Wincest, Eppescest...etc). They kinda squick me, so I'd prefer if you didn't bring it up in my journal. I don't care if you ship them yourself, but unless I bring it up, I'd prefer it stayed out. However, if you're refering to the RPS ships (J2, for example) that I don't mind. Just--I like seeing the family relationships as family relationships. That's all.
I'm also really careful about spoiler cuts, because I know that a good majority of my flist is spoiler free. I don't care about spoilers--in fact, I found it really pisses me off when I don't know what's going to happen (Numb3rs season finale for example). But I respect those of you that do, and am especially careful about the spoiler cuts.
About the Writing:
I'm a comment whore and I don't use a beta unless I feel I really want/need it. It's a bit irresponsible of me, maybe, but I'm too impatient for feedback to let someone read it over. I do read it over myself though, but if you catch that I've made any errors, feel free to let me know.
I write mostly het. It's not that I have a thing against slash (I see some of the slashy ships myself, and read some too) but I'm just more comfortable writing that. I have no problem writing friendship fic, but if you're looking for a romanitc relationship from me, it's probably going to be MF, unless the character stated is already gay--and then there's no problem. I guess I just can't write them with another guy/girl if there's no precedent...I dunno.
I'm a big crossover fan. I love writing characters from different shows together, just to see how they would react to each other. I especailly love writing Supernatural crossovers, because they're so easy. Anyway, crossovers are like my crack, and sometimes I'll write them just to try them out, and pray they work.
I'm also a pretty big fan of the original character. I have bios up for all of my big ones, and there's a link to all of them on my sidebar. Also on the sidebar is a link to any challenge tables I'm working on, the finished tables, my masterlist for my fic series, and my requests post. (NOTE: The request post is not updated for fandoms. If you know I'm into a fandom that's not on there, feel free to request it.) I may not get to your request right away, but I will get to it. It's just a matter of when the muse decides to cooperate.
