1. Post a list of fandoms.
2. Have your friends guess your favorite character from each fandom.
3. When guessed, add to the list your favourite characters and a blurb explaining why you like them.

i decided to list them in the order i watch.

1. CSI: Miami

Eric Delko: Initially, I loved Eric for the pretty. Which is usually the reason I love anyone. However, these past couple seasons, Eric is really starting to break my heart, and the fact that he can do that, given the superficiality they had given him in the earlier seasons is so much love. I groan at every stupid joke he makes, I get over his mistakes, and his and Ryan's whole love-hate thing is going to drive me up a damn wall, but that doesn't really matter. Even when he screws up, I can't semi-hate him for it, because I know he has his reasons.

2. NCIS

Donald "Ducky" Mallard: This is another show where picking a favorite was really hard. But if I had to pick one, it would probably be Ducky. Ducky makes me smile, and I love his interesting stories, and his way of looking at the body and things that had happened. I also love the way he interacts with Palmer and Abby, and the relationship there.

3. House MD

Gregory House: The House fandom is actually complicated for me, because I'm not sure I have a favorite anything for that show. I love and I loathe so many different bits and pieces, that nothing really stands out above everything else. But House himself is the reason I stay. One, because Hugh Laurie does an absolutely amazing job playing him, and two, because House is one of the most consistent characters on that show. Especially with this season. My brother threw a hissy fit when it was revealed that House's friend from rehab had been slipping him Vicodin. Because House didn't find any redemption or change at all, despite what Tritter had done or attempted to do to him. However, I was gleefully happy for that same fact. If House had managed to find his redemption through rehab, it would have killed the show for me. Because I, as a fan, do not watch to see nice, clean House who has accepted his demons and is moving onto a better path. The House that I feel in love with is a pill popping, mean, disrespectful, bitter man who thinks everyone lies, and probably that rehab is crap as well. And that's what keeps me watching, even with long breaks in between for two hour episodes of American Idol. *plots ways to kill Simon Cowell in his sleep*

4. Boston Legal

Alan Shore: I wasn't sure about a favorite from this show when I first started watching it, because they all entertained me equally, but then Alan, when delivering a closing for his case, got up on his soap box. Literally. That moment pretty much sealed the deal. I love his long winded closings, the way he interacts with Denny, and everyone else for that matter, and the fact that he's--well--Alan.

5. CSI:NY

Don Flack: Oh, how do I love Flack, let me count the ways. He's the first character that I really fell for, hard. His snark, and quick wit covering up this really loyal, really strong character is just amazing. He can be supportive yet objective ("All Access"), he stands up for those he cares for (too many episodes to count) and he's just a rock for the team even though the writers won't acknowledge it. I adore him.

6. LOST

James "Sawyer" Ford: I love Sawyer for his layers. He's like an ogre (which is like an onion) and every time they give him more flashbacks, he just peels back another layer. I love the way Abrams has written him (written all the characters, really) in the sense that they started him out as such a flat charater (the "asshole," in Sawyer's case) and then just peeled him back and gave him all these dimensions. He is an ass, but he's snarky, and he's loyal, and he loves and he hurts, and he's all these things that you just don't see on the first impressions.

7. Supernatural

Dean Winchester: Have you guessed I like snark? While that was what drew me to Dean initially (that and the pretty), as I started to watch the show more, I found that Dean was a lot like Sawyer (and ogres--and onions) in all his layers, but Dean wears them more easily than Sawyer does. I love the way that he can slip into all these different skins he has, from snarky and arrogant with Sam, to flirty and fun when he's around women, to serious and focused when he's with his father. I love how Jensen plays him where all his emotions are just out there, and you can see them. And that fight to the death for those he cares about thing. That too.

8. CSI

Nick Stokes: Oh, Nicky. I love Nick, because even though I don't write him nearly as much as I should, he's such a rock of a character to that show. I loved the way he brings out something different in Sara, how he's always roped into doing the dirty work, his friendship with Warrick, the way he picks on Greg, and the way he cares. He has the biggest heart out of anyone on that show, and that's what gets him into the most trouble.

9. Las Vegas

Mike Canon: Mike is not a favorite for his snark. However he does have it and it makes me smile. What I love and really connected with about Mike was his preference to be Switzerland. He doesn't want to upset anyone, so he'll listen to all the sides of a story, but he won't choose one. He tries his best to keep himself objective when it comes to his friends, and (most of the time) he succeeds. And of course the man has a heart of gold to boot. He's just a geniuinely sweet guy, and he needs to actually get the girl (or forgive Jordan for the "rat incident." Because as much as I may like Danny/Jordan, Mike/Jordan was pretty cute). Or just bring Nessa back.

10. Numb3rs

Larry Fleinhart: Numb3rs was hard. Because I was incredibly torn between Larry and Alan. But all things considered, Larry is my favorite. I love his way with words, and how he can relate almost everything to some kind of universal phenomenom or something of the like. He's out there yet grounded. And he and Megan are just absolutely adorable together. That's all for Larry.

11. Conviction
