Valentine's Drabbles Part 1
Here's the first half of the Valentine's Day drabbles I promised. I should have the second half up sometime tonight. Hope you like them!

Characters: Don Eppes/Valerie Malone (OC), Alan Eppes/Millie Finch
For:
goddess_loki asked for Don/Val with Alan for bonus points. And I threw in Millie because while I’m not so sure about the character (she’s growing on me) I love her and Alan.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of Numb3rs. They're owned by CBS.
“You know, if you had just said you wanted the house for Valentine’s Day, there wouldn’t be this problem,” Alan said to Don, and the younger man shrugged.
“Both you and Charlie were going out, I figured it wouldn’t be a problem,” Don shrugged slightly, “Sorry.”
“It’s alright,” Alan sighed.
“You know, me and Val could just go if you and Millie want the place to yourselves—”
Alan glanced out over at where the two women were chatting, and he shrugged, “Too late now. They’re already talking. Even if you were to leave, it would take you at least another hour.”
Don glanced back at them and smirked, “I guess so, huh?”
“Yeah. Since you’re gonna be here a while, you want a beer?”
“Sure, Dad.”
“Sorry we crashed your Valentine’s Day,” Alan sighed, and Don shook his head.
“Same here.”

ashields124 asked for any of the cracktastic pairings she loves, and I know this is one of her favorites, so I picked this one.

“You know,” she said, coming up behind him to whisper in his ear, “People do go out on Valentine’s Day.”
“I want to cook for you,” he said, turning slightly to face her, “Is that a problem?”
“No,” she nodded, “No it’s not—except for the fact that the last time you tried to cook for me you nearly set my kitchen on fire.”
“I’ve been taking lessons,” he replied, matter-of-factly.
“From who?”
“Danny.”
“Ah,” she nodded, before reluctantly backing away, “OK, then.” She walked away and went into the cabinet under the counter, pulling out a red fire extinguisher. Sheldon gave her a look.
“You have that little faith in me?” he said.
“I’m just making sure we have a back-up plan,” she replied, before walking over to the phone, “Thai or Chinese?”

Characters: Danny Messer/Lindsay Monroe
For:
pizzapie_84 asked for Danny/Lindsay, and while I was aiming for something a bit more—romantic, maybe?—this one wouldn’t go away.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI:NY. They're owned by CBS.
“Hey, Monroe?”
“Yeah, Messer?”
“I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go out tonight?”
Lindsay blinked, and then stared up at the man in disbelief. He noticed the look, and frowned.
“What?”
“Today’s Valentine’s Day?”
“So?”
“You’re asking me out—on Valentine’s Day?”
“So?” Danny just gave her a look. Lindsay rolled her eyes and started to walk off. “Oh, come on, Monroe, don’t tell me you buy into all that romantic holiday crap?”
“Danny, in case you haven’t noticed, I’m a girl,” Lindsay said, “By definition we buy into the romantic holiday ‘crap,’ and two, I’m from Montana. We country girls tend to buy into it a bit more.” She continued to walk off, and Danny only watched her for a second, before starting to talk as he followed.
“So—is that a yes?”

“Don’t tell me you’re canceling,” Lindsay’s voice echoed through the phone, and he cringed.
“I’ll make it up to you,” he said softly, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s Valentine’s Day,” she sighed, “Can’t you say something?”
“Are you kidding? I don’t think Steele has gotten laid since the Stone Age. He’s not letting me go anywhere.”
“Are you going to be really late?” she asked.
“I don’t know. Depends how long he wants to keep me.”
“Well—if it’s not to late, drop by when you’re done, alright?”
“Alright. I’m really sorry, Linds.”
“It’s not your fault,” she sighed, before they said their goodbyes and hung up. He looked up and Steele was leaning in the doorway, looking slightly annoyed.
“Are you going to be moping all night because I made you cancel your date?”
Brian weighed the question for a second before replying, “Maybe.”
Steele shook his head before heading back into his office, “Go then.”
“Go?”
“Yeah. You’re more annoying when you’re miserable as you are when you’re not.”

“I was gonna spend it with my extremely hot girlfriend, but if you have a better idea, I’m willing to listen.”
“Well, I don’t know,” Delinda replied, “Depends on what you got her.”
Danny shrugged, and gave her a smile, “It is pretty good.”
“Really?” she smirked, “What is it?”
“You’re gonna have to work a little harder than that, Delinda,” he laughed, and she pouted.
“I will get it out of you, Danny,” she said, “I know all your weak spots.”
“Do you, now?” he said, sitting up and giving her a look.
“You wanna bet on that?” she said, and he nodded.
“C’mon. Let’s go.”
