I had a really hard time getting into Wicked, but I liked Son of a Witch much better. I felt like it had way more plot to it.

my dad got it for me for christmas. i just haven't gotten the chance to start it yet.

wicked took a while for me to get into too, because of all that history and backstory in the beginning. after we got past all of that, i actually liked it quite a bit.

i'll have to see how son of a witch goes though. i just have to find the time to read (which i don't seem to have much of anymore).

Just finished it last night, and I loved it. I loved Wicked too. They're both fantastic. I need to go buy another Gregory M. book, because he's an amazing author.

he's good, but he puts in a lot of backstory. and while that can be a good thing, it's not one of my favorite things to read. i'd rather have it explained as the story goes.

*shrugs* but that's just me.

is it bad that i haven't really read it yet? that's why it's sitting on my desk. to unsuccessfully remind me to read it.

but from what i've heard, it's better than wicked. so that i'm looking forward to.

Well it kind of is better than Wicked but I love both books. Have you read any other books by Gregory Maguire? He's amazing.

i've only read wicked. his style is kind of hard for me to get into. he puts in a lot of backstory, which is good, but it's too much for my taste.
