Five Loves of Sara Sidle

Fandom: CSI with crossovers with House MD, Law and Order SVU and Law and Order SIU.
Title: Five Loves of Sara Sidle
Author: [livejournal.com profile] iluvroadrunner6
Rating: FRT
Characters: Sara Sidle/various pairings
Content Warning: N/A
Summary: Five pairings that could happen.
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] twtd in response to the Five Pairings Meme. This was actually a bit of a challenge for me, considering that we don't share a lot of the same fandoms. But I have to say, although I don't see a lot of staying power for them as a ship, I loved writing the Sara/Wilson conversation.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters of CSI, House, or Law and Order SVU. They are owned by CBS, FOX, and NBC. However, Riley is mine, so please do not use him without my permission.

Greg Sanders

Sara caught the subtle wince as Nick clapped Greg on the back, and gave him a small apologetic smile. There was something about knowing that she put those marks there that made her feel incredibly in control of their relationship, which she liked, but there was a bit of sympathy as well, because she knew Nick was doing it on purpose.

“Sorry,” she whispered to him as she walked over to pick up her results.

“I think he knows,” Greg replied, and she gave him another smile.

“He does. I told him this morning. He was happy for us.”

“So the clap on the back was more for teasing than for spiting?”

“Most likely.”

“Why are we friends with him again?” he asked and she smiled.

“He’ll get sick of it in about a week,” she said, “Don’t worry about it.” She turned and started to walk away, and he shouted after her.

“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt!”

Nick Stokes

Sara felt Nick’s arms wrap around her from behind and his breath brush the skin of her neck. She could see the smile on his face, and knew this was one of those moments were he thought he was being smooth, but the turnaround was going to be that he really really wasn’t.

“Hi,” he murmured.

“Hi,” she replied.

“We are all alone.”

“Yup.”

“We don’t have to work, we’re not on call,” he sighed, “We are completely alone for eight—whole—hours.” He punctuated each of the last few words with a kiss to the skin of her neck, and she laughed.

“What are we going to do with ourselves?” she sighed, and he gave her a grin.

“Well, I happen to have a few ideas,” he said.

“Really?”

“Yeah,” he nodded, “They’re pretty good ones too.”

“How many of them involve getting naked?” she asked.

“Most of them,” he began, thinking, “—About half—”

“All of them?” she asked and he grinned.

“Yeah, pretty much all of them.”

“That’s what I thought,” she grinned.

“So what do you think?” he asked, sliding around so that he was in front of her.

“Which one do you wanna try first?”

***

Riley Toth

“Riley!”

Riley spun around, and gave Sara a smile, “Sara.”

“That was—a bit awkward,” she said, an embarrassed smile on her face.

“Only a little,” Riley laughed, “But I think it was more because we were on opposite sides of the table than anything else.”

“I noticed that,” Sara replied dryly, “What happened to the lawyer who wanted to help people?”

Riley blinked at her for a second, “It may not be the way you see it, but I am helping people, Sara.”

“I thought you were going to be a prosecutor.”

“I didn’t want to deal with the politics of being an ADA.”

“So that’s an excuse to defend murderers and rapists.”

“Why are you turning this into a fight?” Riley said, looking at her in confusion.

“I’m not turning this into a fight,” Sara protested, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

“Yes, you are,” Riley sighed, shaking his head, “Look, Sara, in order for the system to be balanced, you need someone on both sides of the table. That’s the only way to assure that the guy is getting a fair trial.” He hesitated slightly, “You never did understand that.”

***

Elliot Stabler

“Can I help you, Detective Tutuola?” Sara asked without even looking at the man as he entered.

“It’s not that important,” Fin replied, walking over so he was standing opposite the table looking at her, “It can wait if you busy.”

“I am busy,” Sara replied, actually looking up at him this time, “But you’re here already. You might as well say what you came to say.”

“I just wanna know if this thing between you and Stabler is gonna be a problem,” Fin replied, jerking his thumb back over his shoulder, as though to indicate that Stabler was behind him. A nervous gesture that Sara wasn’t all that unfamiliar with. She’d seen it used by several of the detectives.

“It shouldn’t be,” she replied, knowing that he was referring to the blow out she and Elliot had had earlier, “As long as he treats me in a professional manner, I’ll do the same for him.”

“Well, see,” Fin began again, trying to phrase the question as nicely as possible, “Elliot can tend to handle things in an unprofessional manner at times. Would you be able to keep your cool then?”

“It’s possible,” Sara replied, giving him a slight smile, “But I tend to fight back if I’m provoked.”

“I see,” Fin nodded slowly, before glancing around at the equipment.

“Is there anything else, Detective?”

“Naw,” he shook his head, “That’ll be it.”

“Good,” she nodded, “Could you tell Detective Stabler, that next time he wants to ask me a question pertaining to the two of us, he should come and see me himself, rather than send someone else and stand listening at the door?”

She watched as Fin’s shoulders heaved as he started to laugh, “I’ll do that, Sidle. I’ll do that.”

***

James Wilson

“I’m really not in the mood to flirt with you, Dr. Wilson,” Sara sighed, staring down into the file as she walked. The man had been a thorn in her side since they realized that he might have been involved in the crime at hand.

“I’m actually married, Miss Sidle,” Wilson replied, pausing slightly, “So flirting is kind of against the rules.”

Sara turned to face him, a slightly arrogant look on her face, “But I bet that doesn’t stop you from doing it anyway.”

Wilson nodded slowly, thinking before speeding up slightly, “OK, that may be true, but at least I only look, I don’t touch—”

Sara continued to fix him with that look.

“—at least not at first,” Wilson finished.

“What marriage are you on?”

“I actually just separated from my third wife,” Wilson said matter-of-factly, and Sara rolled her eyes.

“And are you eyeing me for number four?” she smirked, and he grinned.

“Only if you’ll have me.”

“You’re completely unbelievable.”

“You’re probably one of the more infuriating women I’ve met in my lifetime,” he sighed, “And I’ve met quite a few.”

“So—you think I’m infuriating, I think you’re a lecherous pig—why are we still having this conversation?”

“Because despite my being a lecherous pig,” he said, a small smile on his lips, “I happen to be a very witty conversationalist.”

GAH. Sara/Stabler? I just watched one of the newer episodes last night, where Olivia came back and worked with Elliot again after Dani had left... So my OTP, Benson/Stabler. Anyway, that one actually worked. I love Elliot, what with his self-destructive tendencies and anger issues. He gets way too emotionally involved in cases and he tries to remain distant but he can't. So much love for him.

And Greg... He's pretty much my favorite CSI: on the original show. I don't really watch it anymore, but I've always loved Greg. I thought the fifth grade crush he had on Sara during the first seasons was cute.

i have a love/hate relationship with elliot. sometimes there's so much love there, and other times--i want to smack him upside the head and redirect him a bit. i'm not a big benson fan. out of that show, i'd have to say that fin and munch are my favorites. i love the snark.

greg is so much love. he's getting so robbed of screentime this season it makes me unhappy. i don't really watch either--supernatural and jensen ackles have taken command of my tv screen for that particular timeslot.

Greg/Sara killed. And Wilson/Sara...you need to continue that whether it's picked or not, I swear.

i am in love with wilson pairings that aren't from house. between sara and megan--i'm having far too much fun letting him flirt, and he's just letting me, which is always nice.

i'm glad you liked it.

The nine o'clock Thursday timeslot is reserved for Grey's Anatomy on my TV. As my friend Pat says, "Oh, you're one of those people?" He's a Supernatural fan, mostly because he loves the fantasy gig and Dean. (Hey, Dean is very pretty, and Pat is gay afterall.)

Benson's a strong character. Mostly I think Mariska Hargitay is wicked hot and how much would I love to be as tough as her?

These were great. I particularly like the Sara/Greg and the Sara/Wilson ones. Yeah, the Sara/Wilson banter made me smile.

dean is absolutely snarkily gorgeous--and is in the process of being whored out to all my fandoms...*is sheepish* but what do you expect me to do? i was too lazy to think up one my own, and while jensen and jared are so doing it have awesome chemistry, wincest is not really my thing. i'm kind of in love with dean/calleigh right now. and dean/angell may surface sometime in the future.

as for benson--i dunno. it usually takes a lot for me to click with a female character. and while i adore mariska, benson and i--we don't really get along.

i really had too much fun writing the sara/wilson one.

i'm glad you liked it.

I loved all these...

What about Fin/Sara? Now, that's what I want to see! :)

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-01-22 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
heehee...as i was writing it, i was thinking hey--fin is probably better for this than stabler is. but it was more fun to have the two of them picking on stabler than it was to make it more fin oriented.

i could try fin/sara out sometime though.

Hehehe...excellent. *best Burns impression*

I loved the Sara/Greg one!!! and I never considered Stabler/Sara....but she might be one person who could yank a knot in his tail! LOL

Great work!!!

i'm actually thinking, that while sara/stabler would be explosively hot, sara/fin might be more accurate for that particular drabble. and sara/greg was fun to write. i enjoy picking on greg a bit more than i should.

i'm glad you liked it.

wilson is one of the doctors on house. that was actually the one [livejournal.com profile] twtd picked for me to expand on, so the full version is up there somewhere.
