Scott looks like he doesn’t really know how to answer that question, and Cora doesn’t really blame him for that. She doesn’t really know how this is supposed to be either, given that she’s never taken care of a beta on their first shift before as an alpha, but she’s willing to do the best she can.
Scott’s pacing in the room that Peter’s built for them, the light from the full moon starting to peek through the windows around them. “Is it going to hurt?”
“Maybe a little. Your body’s never done this before, so it has to learn how to make it work. Kind of like when you work out a new muscle. But … more intense.”
“Great.” Scott swallows hard. “You won’t let me hurt anyone, right?”
“Right. That’s why we’re down here, to keep you from getting out.”
“And no one can come down right?”
“Right.”
“Because you know Stiles …”
“Peter says he will knock Stiles out if he has to. He won’t be coming down here.”
“Good.” Scott exhales again, before looking over at her, his eyes softening with the uncertainty of what he’s gotten himself into. “Do you regret it? Turning me.”
“No.” She gives him a small smile. “You’ll be healthier this way.” Then a pause. “Do you regret it?”
“Right now? A little.” Scott gives her a small smile in return. “But … giving it time, I don’t think so. I like being able to breathe.”
She laughs, before moving to sit next to him. They both slide down against the far wall of the room, and they can both feel the moon hitting its peak. She takes Scott’s hand and squeezes.

“You can do this.”
Scott nods, just as howls split the air.
