“How’re we going to do this, Dean?” Sam said, giving him a look. Both brothers glanced over at where Angell was standing, and then turned back to each other. Dean gave his brother a shrug and made a face.
“Do I look like I even know?”
“She can’t go down to the scene again,” Sam shook his head. “The spirit’ll pick her off in two seconds.”
“Yeah, well, it’s not like she’s going to let us just waltz out of here, Sam,” Dean sighed, running a hand over his eyes. “We’re going to have to figure out a way to slip out under her nose.”
"She'll have the NYPD on us in two seconds," Sam sighed. "There has to be another way.
“We could keep her from following us,” Dean said slowly, his eyes falling on the metal cuffs sitting on the coffee table.
Sam frowned. “What’re you thinking?”
He checked to make sure she wasn’t watching, before leaning forward and picking up the cuffs, dangling them in front of his brother with a smirk. “Whadaya think?”
Sam’s eyes widened and he gave his brother a look. “Dude, what’re you, insane? We can’t just handcuff her to something and leave her here!”
“Why the hell not?” Dean said, raising his eyebrows.
“First of all, she’s a cop,” Sam replied, giving him a look. “Second of all, you don’t leave people tied up in a motel room alone, by themselves.”
“Look, we’ll call Lindsay from the car, she can head over and let her out, she won’t be tied up long at all.” He paused and looked at Sam for a minute, waiting for Sam to respond, before crossing his arms in front of his chest. “Well, do you have any better ideas?”
Sam was quiet for a minute, before looking away form his brother. “No.”
“That’s what I thought.” Dean replied. “You head out—” He gave his brother a cheesy grin, and dangled the cuffs. “—and I’ll tie up the cop.”
“She’s never going to sleep with you now,” Sam smirked. “You know that, right?”
Dean rolled his eyes, before sticking the hand with the handcuffs behind his back, and making his way over to where Angell was standing. She turned to him and gave him a look, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
“I swear, if it what comes out of your mouth is anywhere near the vicinity of a come-on, you’re going to be in a helluva lot of pain,”
“C’mon now, Detective,” Dean said with a grin. “You know me better than that.”
“Do I?” she said, raising an eyebrow. She caught a glimpse of Sam leaving out the door, and tried to step around Dean to get to him. “Hey, where’s he—” She was cut off when Dean stepped in front of her. She tried to go the other way and he stepped in front of her again. “Get out of my way, Winchester.”
“Can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
“Because me and Sam need to bail, and we can’t have you getting in the way.”
“You two aren’t going anywhere.”
“Yes, Detective—we are.”
“No, Winchester, you’re not.”
“Now, listen, Jess, we could do this the easy way, or we could do this the hard way,” he replied, giving her a grin as Sam left the room.
“One, I never said you could call me Jess. Two, I don’t see how there are two ways about this.”
“Well, you can just listen to me when I say that you don’t want to follow me and Sam, and stay here like I’m asking you to,” he began, “Or you can do this the hard way.”
“And what’s the hard way?” she replied, and then noticed the handcuffs he must have lifted from her when he dragged her in the room, “Oh, no. Don’t even think about it.”
“Now believe you me, this was not the way I entended for us to be putting these babies to use,” he said, a cocky grin on his face, “But if you don’t listen to reason—”
“Listen to reason?” she said giving him a look, “You want to handcuff me to something in the room so that I don’t leave. That’s kidnapping, Dean.”
“Not when it’s for your own good.”
“For my own good? What the hell are you protecting me from?”
“Just trust me on this one,” he replied, “Now as I said, easy or hard way?”
“Like hell I’m just staying here while you run off to God knows where. I was told to make sure you two stayed put.”
“Hard way it is,” he said before reaching for her wrist. She tried to fight him off, and she got in a few good hits, but before she knew it, she was handcuffed to the nearest object, which happened to be the door handle of the refrigerator. “Well, I’ll come back for you when the coast is clear.”
“Go to hell,” she said, tugging on the handle to the door.
“As you wish,” he sighed before walking to the door. He paused with it open, and then turned back to her, “I take it this is still a no for dinner then.”
She glared at him before throwing the nearest thing she could get her hands on at him, only missing him as he ducked out the door.

“And here’s to another job well done,” Dean said with a grin as he swung the shovel over his shoulder. They had just finished salting and burning the bones of their spirit, and were making their way back to the Impala to head out of town.
“Something like that,” Sam replied, before shaking his head. “So where are we heading to now?”
“Somewhere far away from here, where we don’t have to run into Detective Sunshine for a while, give her a chance to cool off,” Dean smirked. “’specially after what we did to her this time.”
“Tell me about it,” Sam shook his head. He started to walk over the passenger side of the car, and then turned back to his brother. “You did call Lindsay and tell her about Angell in the hotel room, right?”
Dean froze for a second, before looking back at the door again. “Yeah—of course I did.”
Sam blinked at Dean for a minute, before gaping at his brother. “Dude—seriously?”
“Seriously what?”
“You left her tied up in the motel room and you didn’t call someone to go get her?”
“I forgot alright?” Dean said throwing his hands up in the air. “Give me a break.”
“Give you a break? Dean!”
“Look, I’m calling her now, alright?” Dean said, giving him a look as he fished out his phone. “Don’t have a coronary.”
“She’s really never going to sleep with you now,” Sam sighed.
“The jury’s still out on that one. I can be fairly convincing,” Dean replied, placing the phone to his ear. There was a pause for a minute before he spoke up again. “Hey, Lindsay—can you do me a favor—?”
