Part 1 | Part 4

Thank God for tinted windows.

In the sense that between the dark and the windows, the balding man who had taken Adam and his crew couldn’t see the unconscious figure in the backseat. Not that the figure was really unconscious, but she figured it was probably best to fake it for the time being.

Adam was a rat bastard. He managed to catch her off guard while she was untying him in the gallery, and he knocked her out before tying her up and dumping her in the backseat. She was gagged, hands bound behind her back and feet tied together, and only capable of the most minimal movement. It was annoying. It was uncomfortable. And the main thought she had when she came too with Adam arriving at the hospital was how she was going to cause him some serious pain for this.

It had taken some time to get her legs back through her arms, and by the time she did, Adam was returning to the car, and she went prone again, planning on catching him by surprise once they were free of hospital, but that was when the balding tub and his little army of soldiers showed up. They carried Adam—and her car keys, apparently—off to points unknown, and she was now stuck, locked in to her car, searching for some kind of implement to cut herself free.

So far she was having no luck.

Then again, it had also been maybe only ten, twenty minutes tops, before she heard more footsteps and voices outside of her car. Familiar voices at that. Two voices who were probably never going to let her live this down, but she really didn’t have any other choice. She listened carefully for a moment to determine where the voices were coming from, and spun her body around so that her feet were facing that direction. And when they got just close enough, slammed her feet into the window to try and get her attention. And immediately both bodies came to a stop.

“Did you hear that?”

BANG! Again, just in case they didn’t get the message.

A few seconds later, Sam’s large face appeared in the frame of the window, and it was soon followed by Dean’s shit eating grin right next to him. If she had any other options she would have taken, them, but apparently, she didn’t.

The two brothers straightened for a moment, and a minute later, Dean bent over and picked something up off the ground, and it was soon followed by the bleep bleep! of the car doors unlocking. Thank God, again, that Adam wasn’t a total idiot and had left her keys behind.

Sam pulled open the door, and stuck his head inside. “How ya doin’ there, Bela?” She glared at him. “That good, huh?”

Bela sighed heavily, before twisting her hands into a better position to get the gag off her mouth. It took a few tries, but eventually she was able to get it down.

“Are you going to help me, or are you just going to stand there like idiots all day?”

“Aww, c’mon now, Bela,” Dean said, his grin matching his brothers. “Where did you learn your manners? Say please.”

Bela sighed heavily, and rolled her eyes before speaking again. “Please?”

Dean just smirked before pulling out a knife and cutting the binds on her ankles. She then inched her way forward so that he could do her wrists as well, and just as he finished, Sam’s hand came down on his brothers back, pushing them down low and out of the line of view of—something. Bela gave him a strange look, but apparently Dean saw the same thing Sam saw, and an equally worried look crossed his face. Bela started to follow their eyeline, and watched as the balding tub reappeared again, and he was leading a thin blond girl with him. Thinking that it was probably the girlfriend Dean had been so worried about, she watched as the van pulled out and disappeared, and turned back to them.

“They took Adam with them as well.”

Both brothers turned to face her, and frowned. “I don’t like this,” Dean sighed.

“You’ve been saying that all day,” Sam sighed.

“Well, it’s true.”

Bela just shook her head before looking back over at them. “The van said Primatech Paper, yeah?”

“Think so,” Sam said with a nod. “Why?”

“I take it you want to get your little friend out?”

“Yeah,” Dean said, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “What’s it to you?”

“I think I may have an in for you boys.”

Dean and Sam looked at each other for a minute, before they both turned back to her, and if Bela didn’t know any better, she would have said they were glaring.

“What’s the catch?”
