I Live?
School is school and keeping me busy, but I'm almost done? So yay for that?
And here, have a meme.
1. Name a 'ship from any fandom you know I'm familiar with (old and new fandoms all welcome), and I will talk about the pairing, about why I like it, or why I don't, or just general observation blabbering.
2. Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general.

Danny/Lindsay: Canon ruined them for me. And I hate that they did, because I really liked them in the beginning. In season 2? They were perfect. But I guess it was a combination of the new city boy-country girl schtick getting a little older, as well as what canon decided to put them through, it just really turned them off as a ship for me. Plus, they used her to turn Danny into a spectacular douche which was a MAJOR turnoff for me. I see her scenes with him, and then I see her scenes with Flack, and I'm just -- why are they wasting her on Danny. That's my major question. Because Lindsay could be so awesome if they just managed to let her find a balance with the rest of the cast. So far, I feel that they've really been lacking in that with her.
Fic ideas: Well, aside from the fact that my brain is on crack? It really comes from the most random stuff. I could be watching something on TV, or listening to the song on the radio, and I would think -- huh, what if I did something like this? I like to try new stuff, so even reading things in different formats can be fun.
Hello!
2. What was your first fandom and what was the first fandom you wrote fic for?

Bela/Mike
Danny/Jay
Flack/Stella
Lani/Hawkes
Flack/Sam Flack
and of course
Larry/Cora

If you could actually force Cora to do your bidding...how would she handle things with Larry?
and
How do you see the future shaping up for Ben and Kala?
Re: Hello!
1. Dean/Bela: I thought really hard about this one, because there are so many Dean pairings that I just love, but Bela's it. I really think that they under served her on the show, because I really loved her. I thought she was such a great character for the boys to interact with, and she was fun. And on screen? She and Dean were phenomenal together. If the Writer's Strike hadn't happened, and they had had more time for her to come in and develop her better (She was originally signed on for 12 episodes, but they only actually got to have her do 6) I think that they really could have stood a chance. It was that moment in "Time is on my Side" though that really did me in -- when Dean realizes that she's running from the same thing he is, and he wants to shoot her -- he really wants to -- but he doesn't. That pretty much solidified them in my brain for me.
And now I write them causing all kinds of havoc as demons. Because that's just fun.
2. My first fandom that I really wrote fic for was CSI:NY. Flack/Lindsay, if I remember correctly. I don't remember which story it was exactly -- I should probably go find that -- but it was definitely the two of them.

Danny/Jay: She is so good for him. So good for him. Especially after everything he went through with Connie, he really needed something that was just relaxed and go with the flow for a while. And he likes her a lot, which just made things ever better. They're going at their own pace, which is really the epitome of all he needed at that time.
Flack/Stella: Oh, let me count the ways I love this ship. He takes care of her -- so many guys in Stella's life haven't done that. He takes care of her, but he knows she's not fragile, and he knows that she won't break. Plus, he thinks before he speaks to her, which I think is something that Mac -- while I love their friendship -- really doesn't do. I don't have anything against any of the Mac/Stella shippers out there, because on some level it makes sense, but Mac doesn't think before he speaks, he just speaks -- and a lot of the time when it comes to Stella, he speaks rather insensitively. Flack actually thinks. I really think that they would be great together. They're just -- awesome.
Hawkes/Lani: Just love. I love that I get to actually write him in a relationship there, because he's so underused in canon. And I miss them a lot of the time, because they're just easy. Honestly? I'm thinking that if Lani wants her Hawkes in Wayward, I'd be happy to NPC him for you -- I don't want to bring him in as a main character, because I have too many as it is, but having Lani and Hawkes still together over there? Makes perfect sense to me.
Flack + Sam: It would be so easy for Flack to just write her off, like the rest of the family has, but he doesn't and that's what I love about their relationship. Even when he starts to get fed up with her, he turns around and winds up pulling her back anyway. That's what I love about them -- it's the same thing I love about Sam and Dean. Flack really takes an us versus them mentality with her, and I really think that's so important to a sibling relationship.
Larry/Cora: He flusters her. Now, granted the only romantic relationship-style-thing that I wrote her in before Larry was with Peluso, and that was more of an I-hate-you thing than anything else, but still. He screws her up and makes her forget her goal in this whole mess and that's what I love about them. To be honest, though? It hurts her when he pushes her emotionally. Not because she doesn't want to say it, but because he claims to know her and claims to love her, but he can't seem to get that she needs to do this in her own time. Which is why I really think that the future-ness? Is going to be so much better for them. Because she'll have worked out some of her issues and start to get herself back on her feet again.
2. Larry and Cora: She still wouldn't handle things well. There would be screaming involved. But she'd be a hell of a lot more honest with him, which I think is what they would need. She would try covering up the feeling so much as telling him exactly why what he's doing hurts her.
Ben and Kala: He's so proposing. He hasn't decided when yet, because he doesn't want to be cliche and do it on a holiday, but he wants to do it sooner rather than later, and he wants a summer wedding. On a beach. It'll be a fantastic extravaganza. The only thing he's really dreading his her meeting his parents. But they can work on that.

Danny/Jay: This is where Jay would be like, huh? Me good for him? She really has no idea what the hell she's doing. She really does want to care about him, but she doesn't really know how to. She admires how he just lets her be her, no matter what.
Flack/Stella: I agree. Ship or no ship, there is no denying that he respects her whenever they're in a scene together. You can just see it in the way he looks at her. So subtle but I love it. AU!
Hawkes/Lani: Exactly. And I love that they're easy. There's no drama. She's had enough of that in the past, and I'm so happy that she found a smart, good, respectful guy. And yes, NPCing in Wayward would be good. Would have to talk their years out.
Larry/Cora: ::sighs:: That's the frustrating thing about him. He tries to be the steady one, but he really isn't. A lot of the time he really doesn't see the bigger picture and instead just needs her to take him. He...gets desperate to be cared about, and when it comes to them he's better at listening to the negatives - picking up small hints (so he thinks) that she doesn't care. He really needs to stop looking for those signs and enjoy the moments that she is there with him...if that makes sense. Like in happy!verse.
2.
Larry/Cora: Awww, well...maybe he needs to hear it. Not that I want drama to come into future!verse...but...still. If they were to start talking about the past, it might be good for her to say it and him to hear it. In future, he really has let her go, but still cares more than he realizes.
Ben/Kala: He really needs to. And she doesn't care about cliche. He really makes her so happy and her life seemed to align after they met. Not...because they met...but...he just gave her what she needed to repair things for herself. And he shouldn't sweat meeting Mama, she loves everyone. Papa...well...he's a softie but plays hardass.

- D/J: To be honest? Danny doesn't know what he's doing half the time either. But he figures they can take the bumps as they come and see what happens.
- F/S: Yes, AU. But we need to figure them out. And I need to write you that fic I owe you. Maybe we could use that as a jumping off point? Or something? I don't know -- you could let me know when you read it.
- H/L: Well, I'm going to be around all day, so we can definitely talk it out. I'm thinking that he probably most likely went back to medicine. Not emergency medicine like he was before, but more clinic work.
- L/C: Yes, like in happy!verse. And maybe they can both figure out how to do that in the future canon.
2. L/C: She probably will say that to him, if/when things start heating up. Just because it needs to be said and that was their problem before. See? All grown-up!
- B/K: Yeah -- it's not her parents he's worried about. It's his. His aren't so nice. Well, Dad's tolerable, but Mom's a witch.
