My question is, when did they suddenly become WPIX again? They haven't been WPIX since they switched to the WB.

WPIX are the call letters for our NY affiliate. So they've always been WPIX, no matter what, but they run the programming of the WB/CW.

WPIX is the only one that's preempting programming tonight.

Yeah, for the longest time though, they never mentioned WPIX. They always emphasized the WB/CW mark, Now they're using the 11 in the circle like they used to in the 80's again, when it was it's own station, free of the media conglomerates.
