OC Bio - Lizzie Anderson

I'm only posting it to my journal for right now, because -- that's all I have time for before I have to head to work. But it will eventually be crossposted to [livejournal.com profile] allgrownup_fic, and there will probably be several bios posted here in the next few days, so this is me, apologizing now.

Actual Person: Autumn Reeser, actress

Age: 28
Parents: Michael Anderson and Lauren Mullvaney
Siblings: N/A

Lizzie Anderson was born to Michael and Lauren Anderson as an unplanned pregnancy about a year into their relationship. While her parents never married, she was impressed upon by her grandparents, aunts and uncles on both sides of the family that that wasn’t exactly typical, and in general, marriage was a good thing. While she was an only child, she never felt a lack of love, as she had a huge family on both sides and lots of cousins and such. She was a bit spoiled though, particularly by her father,

When she was three years-old, she met the adopted son of one of her father’s close friends, Robert Pino The two of them were very close during their elementary school and high school years, and Robert even asked her to his junior prom, which she accepted and attended. They grew apart during their college years, but she still considers him one of her very close friends, mostly for the relationship that they had when she was younger, and the fact that their parents are still very close. Another close friend she had as a child was a girl who lived in her building named Hannah Johnson. They met when Hannah's mother was looking for a play date when she was seven and hit it off almost instantaneously. Hannah is who she considers her best friend, especially considering the way their relationships had lasted through all these years. Hannah also could be considered the devil’s advocate in their relationship. She’s the one who encourages Lizzie to do things that she wouldn’t normally do, particularly in the boy department. She wants her friend to get out there as much as she can and be happy, and not really worry about all the complications and things that could go wrong. Hannah is basically the carpe diem to Lizzie’s take your time.

Lizzie always did well in school, and due to the professions of most of her family, always had a bit of an interest in law. When she graduated high school, she moved on to Fordham University, where she got her degree in business management, to help her pay for law school. Fordham and business school was also where she met Kevin Townsend who, while he wasn’t her first kiss, nor was he the first guy she’d been on a date with, was her first actual boyfriend. And she fell for him hard, which really, unless you’ve known him for many years, isn’t that hard to do. Kevin was very good to her, however, and spent a lot of their time together easing Lizzie into their relationship, especially certain aspects where she was more inclined to run the other way. When he graduated the year ahead of her, they ended their relationship, but he still made her promise to keep in touch with her, and they’re still very good friends, even to this day.

After business school, Lizzie moved on to Yale law school, and worked her but off to get her degree. She didn’t manage to find herself in that much of a social position while she was there, but she made some good friends in the process, connections she now uses when she needs help with case law for a certain case, or finding out the answers to different questions. Most of them are scattered across the lower forty eight, but are generally only a phone call away if need be.

While still in law school, she landed an internship with a big law firm in the city, Hawthorne and Milton. She worked there for a couple summers, building up experience, and when she graduated from Yale, she was offered a fulltime job. Working for a defense firm wasn’t exactly how she anticipated starting out, but she was interested in the defense end of things and decided to take it. She doesn’t plan on staying there long, however—just long enough to build up a decent wealth of experience and to find an opening in the prosecutor’s office. Her major goal for her career is to wind up sitting on the bench, and that’s what’s motivating her to succeed where she is. She likes where she works as well, and is very comfortable and friendly with the people there and the way they do their jobs.

Always fun to know more about your OCs...especially ones who are dating one of mine.

I had two thought hit me while I was on the train. The first is that I think I'll place a link to each individual OC bio that either of us write up in the links section of the page, so you don't have to crosspost everyone. As you write one, I'll add it to the links list.

Also, do you think a random pairing generator would be a good idea? I think I still have the names of all the OCs you gave me yesterday, and it wouldn't take that long to set up. I'd just need some legal-type prompts for you to write things with Lizzie's job.

Number 1 sounds good to me.

Number 2 -- I could definitely go for something like that. How many prompts do you think you'd need?

As many as you want. I have limitless space.

Hrmmm...

arraingment
conference room
waiting on the jury
interrogation
other side of the table
writing motions
preparing a defense
business lunch
cross-examination
on the stand

...I'll think about it for a while and see if I can come up some more.
