...I'm gonna miss Ed. I really, really, am. And I'm glad they didn't go the route of the CSI franchise, or Supernatural, or Heroes for that matter and kill him off. I'm glad he walked out of the squad room in one piece. And I'm glad that he didn't go to jail either.

That being said, I have so much love for Anthony Anderson. I think he and Lupo's dynamic is going to be very interesting. And I freakin' LOVE that he's bringing CUPCAKES to the scene next week. At first I was a little worried about the character when he first entered, because he seemed a bit too serious for the Anthony Anderson that I know and love, but different is good sometimes. It's nice to see him stretch his legs and prove that there are some acting chops in there.

I also thought Cutter and Rubirosa's role in this was really interesting. I liked the way Cutter said that he had to make himself objective through this, and I loved Connie's line about the only way Cutter notices anything is if someone does something. Which totally makes sense and is giving me so much shipping fodder it isn't even funny. And I loved the final line about how they thought Ed was worth saving, and the look on Ed's face when the whole scene played out.

*sigh* I'm really gonna miss him.
