Danny frowned when he woke up and realized that he was alone in bed. That hadn’t been the case for some time, not since he and Kaile had gotten together. He was usually up before she was. He had never slept well, not really, so it was a rare occasion when he slept better than she did. He blinked around the room, confused, before hearing the TV going in the other room.

He got up and pulled on a pair of jeans, before stumbling his way out into the living room. When he got there he found Kaile sitting Indian-style on the couch, a bowl of something steaming in her hand. She gave him a smile as he came in, still rubbing his eyes sleepily. The sight of Danny Messer standing barefoot and bare-chested in the middle of her apartment was one she never got sick of seeing, and he glanced over at the television.

“What are you doing out here?”

“Couldn’t sleep,” she replied, “I got hungry, so I made something to eat.” She gestured to the bowl of Ramen in her hands.

“What is it?”

“Ramen,” she replied, “There’s more on the stove if you want some.”

“Maybe later,” he replied, walking over to her and stretching out on the space left over on the couch, his head rested against the side of her leg, and he frowned at the screen again.

“What are you watching?”

“Finding Nemo,” she replied simply, and Danny watched as the blue animated fish jabbered on endlessly.

“The kids’ movie?”

“Is there another Finding Nemo that I don’t know about?” she frowned.

“Just making sure,” he replied, “May I ask why?”

“There was nothing else good on,” she said, making a face.

“Nothing but Nemo?”

“Nope. Some golf, a couple of really bad romantic comedies, and infomercials.”

“You could have just come back to bed?” he said, a grin stretching across his face.

“Ramen’s pretty messy to eat in bed, Danny.”

“Well, you wouldn’t necessarily be eating either.”

“You were asleep.”

“You could have woken me up,” he whispered, feeling her fingers running soothingly through his hair.

“But I wouldn’t of,” she replied, “You need your sleep.” She placed the now empty bowl off to the side, and nudged him, allowing them to find a more comfortable position on the couch, her curled up between him and the couch. Once they were comfortable, she gave him a smile.

“Besides, I like this movie.”

“Do you?” he said with a smirk, “Even though the target audience is for those still in the single digits.”

“You don’t have to be a kid to appreciate a good animated movie, Danny,” she said stubbornly, shifting so that she could see the television screen.

“That’s not what I mean,” Danny said, “I’m just sayin’ that I didn’t think you would settle on a movie about talking fish when there’s nothing else on TV.”

“Then you obviously don’t know me that well,” she said, turning her attention away from the TV and shifting so that she was leaning over him.

“We’ll have to amend that,” he whispered, a grin slowly forming across is face.

“Sure thing, Messer,” she whispered back, her grin matching his own, and he shifted slightly under her, expecting her to lean forward, brush her lips against his—

—instead watching as she turned around, settled back into his arms, and faced the TV screen.

“—after the movie.”

Random thought...lI was thinking, if you'd be willing, that maybe some of our OCs should meet in a fic. Somewhere. Somehow. If it's even possible. That would be incredibly trippy stuff.

Finding Nemo is a crazy ass movie and should be etched into the minds of every person living...due to the fact that it's one of the only animated movies I've seen that doesn't have romance in it.

Besides that and the fact that it is amazing, and Danny really loves it at heart.

that would be incredibly crazy stuff, and i would be so for it. and technically eva and crew could meet susan and co., because they are both in theater.

although that might be complicated...

We should write one, before either of our theater buffs started dating Flack in their seperate AUs, where they do a play together. Because Susan lived in NYC for quite a few years before the series of mine started.

You'll have to refersh me on Midsummer, but that sounds like a plan. I know there's two main roles for each sex, right? And then there's the Faerie characters...

Cobweb - these are very minor roles.

plus assorted other faeries, members of the court, etc. if you want to make it a big production.

i was also thinking that if it was before she was dating flack, she would have met eva in the time of Matt the slimebucket.

I think that would work. I have Susan and Will, plus Carl could be doing costumes. And I don't like the slimebucket...but it'd be fun to see him in all his glory.

i don't like the slimebucket either. (even though he's interesting to write.) i've got eva, chelsea, ryan, and john. i think it's be better to leave my will out, just for confusion's sake.

you said that susan was about five nine, right? since eva is shorter, do you want to have her as hermia and susan as helena? or does susan want to play another part?

Christina's 5'9, Susan's 5'11. So since there's even more of a heiht difference, I think Susan should be Helena.

And my Will actually goes by William most of the time (Christina's the only one who calls him Will), so we could have both of them.

From what I remember of the play I know Will would want to go for Puck. Everyone else is up to you or we could always have unknowns play them.

ryan would be an interesting demetrius. my will would go for bottom, and john (who is about six two) could be lysander.

do you want to have the diva play titania, or would you rather it be chelsea?

Let's make it more iteresting and have Lindy be Titania. Simply to give everyone plenty or reason to bitch. Chelsea could always be one of the other roles, and Lindy's understudy to boot.

I'd love to see him crash a rehersal. Have them all be in the middle of a scene and have someone finally nail a line when he shows up and throws everyone for a loop.

Hmm... I know actors who have come in and watched from the back of the theater. Maybe he did that and someone who didn't know who he was was trying to get him to leave and he made a stink. Still a bit professional until the end, when scumbaginess comes out.

Heh. I assume we want to start it after they've all been cast, like at first rehersal?

And I had an idea. I'm doing a round robin at another community and we're writing the fic via the comments. We could make a post somewhere (here or at my fic community) and then write it sort of as a round robin fic. You write, I write, back and forth. Sound like an idea, or do we want to do it another way?

first rehearsal sounds good. and they're all finding out who's who and meeting new people.

The way were doing it there is that each person posts a new comment so that they don't all collapse. Tracking the post makes sure we get the notice that someone's posted something. Do we want to set this up at my community or here?

And I'd love to have your characters start it off.
