Anna - Opportune Moments
I'm going to be cross-posting a lot of stuff I've written for
theatrical_muse and
realmofthemuse for Anna and Bela. I get lazy with these two, because I don't have to link these two to a table. Anyway -- apologies for the spam in advance.

“Dude, where is it?” Anna shrieked as she ran around her room.
Noah watched with amusement from the doorway as clothes, bags, books, papers—anything and everything that Anna might have possessed at one point in her life—went flying into the air as she searched desperately for the one thing that he knew was the last thing his girlfriend wanted to see at this point in time. She was already uncomfortable enough with this as it was, she didn’t need Anna making things worse. But Anna didn’t really seem to care. She was on a mission, and she wasn’t going to stop until she was either dead, or had achieved it.
“I don’t think this is what you should be focusing on,” he finally spoke up, and her head popped up from the other side of her bed, and she looked at him, blowing her hair out of her face for a moment before speaking.
“Noah—this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have no other priorities at the moment.”
“None?” Noah frowned.
“None.” She repeated, before dropping out of view again, scrambling around for something. “You know, Noah—you’d think you’d be more excited about this.”
“Excited? How?”
“This is something that rarely ever happens,” Anna replied. “There will be heels. And there will be legs. You think you would be excited to see the heels and the legs out in the open, where everyone can see. She’s wearing a slinky dress, Noah!”
“I’m well aware of that,” he smirked. “But I’m sleeping with the woman in the slinky dress. So I see the legs on a daily basis anyway.”
“Regardless—this is a moment that must be preserved for all of history,” Anna said with a grin. “Which is why I have to find my camera.”
“You know she’s going to shoot you once she finds out about this.”
“That’s why she’s not going to know—or at least not going to be able to get to it,” Anna replied with a nod. “Second after I take this picture, the camera’s going right back under the bed. And being that she is wearing a dress, the lady—that obviously exists—is going to compel her to remain on her feet and not dive under the bed for it.”
“I don’t think that’s going to work.”
“Well—you are the doubter, not I,” Anna said with a nod as her fingers closed around the top of the camera. She let out a slight squeal of glee before pulling it out. She blew off the thick layer of dust that had accumulated, and she coughed slightly as it blew back in her face, and shook her head with a heavy sigh. She then stayed crouched behind the bed, brushing off the dust, and making sure it still had batteries. She managed to keep on task for more than a few seconds until one of the doors in the hallway opened and she heard a familiar voice.
“Alright, let’s get this stupid fuckin’ thing over with.”
Anna then popped up behind the bed, waiting until Gina, clad in a strappy, short black cocktail dress, was right in the frame and hit the shutter, a bright flash filling the hallway, and Gina spun around in shock.
“Anna, I swear to God I’m going to kill you.”
“Not in that dress,” Noah said as Anna disappeared from sight. “Wait until later.”
“But—”
“Destroy the film later. We have to go.”
Anna waited until the footsteps finished resonating down the highway, before pulling the camera out again, starting to wind the film back so she could finish the roll and get them developed as quickly as possible. She glanced back over the bed, waiting for the tell-tale pull on her finger that it was finished, and when it didn’t happen for a while, she started to get worried. She glanced down at the camera in her hand, and shook it slightly, before flipping the back open and letting out a upset groan.
“NOOOOO,” she sighed, before flopping down face first on the bed and batting her fists into it.
Nate walked past her door a few minutes later and stopped, before backtracking and turning to look at her.
“You alright, Anna?”
Anna didn’t look up from the face plant, just held up the camera in her hands and groaned. “No film,” she said, not really caring if he could understand her.
Nate only smirked back before shaking his head and walking away. “Sucks to be you.”
Anna looked up at that. “Eh, shuddup,” she shouted after him, before sighing heavily and resuming her face plant.
