Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks!
i did this pretty recently, so i shall be tagging no one, but if you're interested, feel free.
1. Generally speaking the only chocolate I really like is in candy form. Usually covering peanut butter. I'm not a big fan of chocolate cake or ice cream. I don't like the flavor of dark chocolate. I do like brownies. But that's about it.
2. I find reality TV pointless. To some extent, shows like Laguna Beach depress me becasue that's their reality. Someone didn't cook that up in their brain, or put any creativity into it. People actually act like that. I fear for the human race sometimes.
3. However, despite that I did watch the pilot for Grease: You're the One that I Want and was ecstatic to find that they were rejecting people who may have had some great talent and personality but didn't have the right look. And you may think I'm a bitch for this, but that's the way the business works. It is about look and image, and while shows like American Idol can adjust the image to however you see fit, I'm sorry, but they're not going to cast a Sandy based on just talent and personality. Look is a big factor. [/rant]
4. I have a massive folder of OCs sitting on my computer, waiting to be used. They're all developed and organized into nice pretty files and waiting for just the right moment to come out and play.
5. That also being said, I'd rather write Canon/OC pairings than Canon/Canon. I feel like I'm being more creative that way, and I try my best not to make them Mary Sue-ish, and each have their own thoughts and feelings, but when I had originally started writing for the CSIverse, I had a OC for almost every male character. Give or take.
6. I find guy characters more interesting than female ones. While there are some fem characters that are just kickass, they're also so cookie cutter. They're all expected to be these tough, smartass, I-don't-take-shit-from-anyone women, and while it's good that they're promoting that kind of self-confidence, not every woman is like that. I'm sure as hell not. When it comes to male characters, there's a bit more of a variety, and they're a bit more believeable.
7. I don't want to write for a living. I'd love to, but writing is such a hit or miss kind of thing. I don't have the patience to write a novel, plays are hard to earn a living off of, and by the time the director's, producer's and star's opinions are added to a movie script, who knows if the message that you wanted to get across is still the same. I actually want to go into casting, and write on the side, rather than go in trying to be a writer, and have my work rejected/altered.
8. I don't like to drive. Probably one of my biggest fears is getting into a serious car accident. I would also rather take the long way to a class and not have to cross any streets, than walk less and cross streets. Again, fear of being hit by a car is a pretty big one. Especially in New Brunswick.
9. I don't read nearly as much as I used to. Which is a shame, considering I liked to read quite a bit, but it's hard finding stuff I really liked since I sold my soul to the internet.
10. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy girl at heart. Despite my love of the CSIverse, it's more of the characters that grab me than the science or the roots in reality. I think what grabs me about shows/movies like LOST, Supernatural, Star Wars, etc, is that it's something that's out there, and not normal. I've always been fascinated with mythology, urban folklore, etc. I don't know if it's because I know they're not real, or the possiblity that they could be that has my attention.
