Danny snuck up behind Sofia in the locker room just as the first round of thunder started to fill the air. She jumped slightly when his hands brushed her hips, and he grinned as she turned and fixed him with a look.

“You shouldn’t sneak up on people like that,” she said, as he backed her against the locker.

“I wasn’t sneaking,” he grinned, leaning in closer to her.

“Liar,” she whispered before he kissed her, “You’re always sneaking.”

“Am I?”

“Uh-huh,” she murmured, and there was a slightly gagging noise from somewhere behind them. They both turned and saw Flack standing in the door way, a disgusted look on his face.

“Can I help you, Flack?” Danny asked, not pulling away from Sofia.

“I think I liked you two better when you were fighting,” Flack commented.

“Is that all?” Danny asked. Flack thought about it for a second, before shrugging.

“Yeah, I guess,” he then wandered off in another direction, and Danny shook his head muttering.

“When Calleigh comes up to visit, I’m so getting him back for this—”

“Calleigh?” Sofia asked, and Danny shook his head.

“Not important,” he replied, before turning his focus back to her again, “Now—back to what I originally came down here for.”

“Why you were sneaking?”

“Yea—no. I was not sneaking,” Danny repeated firmly, and she just smirked at him before he continued, “I was wondering, since the weather tonight is—less then desirable—if you would rather come back to my place, instead of going out to eat.”

“Then when would we eat?” she asked.

“I’m gonna cook,” Danny replied. She looked at him, slightly confused.

“You cook?” He nodded yes, and she quirked an eyebrow in response.

“You’re not going to give me food poisoning, are you?”

“Sofia, don’t you trust me by now?” Danny replied, feigning hurt, and the other woman just smirked.

“This better be a damn good meal—”

Sofia looked up from the book she was reading when she saw the lights flicker in the apartment. She walked over to where Danny was standing in the kitchen, chopping something for the food he was supposed to be making them. He saw her coming, and held up his hand.

“What have I said about being in here while I’m cooking?” he asked, giving her a look.

“Did you see that?”

“See what?” he frowned.

“The lights flickered,” she sighed.

“Oh, that,” he shrugged.

“Don’t you think we should find some candles or flashlights or something in case the power goes out?”

“The power’s not gonna go out.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yeah, the lights do that all the time.”

“They flicker like that all the time?”

“Yeah,” he said, looking up, “You don’t trust me? I’ve been living here a while now, and I can almost guarantee the fact that—”

He was cut off as the apartment was plunged into pitch black, and he sighed heavily.

“—maybe we should find those flashlights and candles, no?”

“Maybe we should,” Sofia sighed, hearing her stomach start to grumble slightly. It was even less likely they were going to eat now.

“You know, I could still finish making this once we light the place up somewhat,” Danny replied, gesturing to the half-prepared food in front of him.

“Isn’t your stove electric?” she asked, and he blinked.

“Oh yeah.”

“Mmm-hmm,” Sofia nodded, and she helped him stick the food in the fridge so that it wouldn’t spoil that much while the power was out, and then started wandering around the kitchen, looking for alternate sources of light. He watched her for a second, before coming up behind her, and wrapping an arm around her waist.

“Forget about the lights.”

“Forget about the lights?”

“We don’t need them.”

“We don’t?” she frowned, turning around to face him in confusion. She was about to say something else when he cut her off in a long slow kiss. She pulled in closer to him, and when they finally broke the kiss, she nodded, “You’re right. We don’t need lights for that.”

“Nope.”

“You still owe me dinner,” she said as he pulled her back towards the bedroom.

“How bout I buy you breakfast instead?” he replied with a smirk, “Deal?”

She grinned, “Deal.”

Hee...I really like those two. Though I don't agree with Flack...fun as they are when they're fighting, they're fun this way, too.

yeah they are kinda fun this way. flack just doesn't like to watch. although it does give him an excuse to act like he still thinks girls have cooties.

i'm glad you liked it.

Unless Calleigh's around, of course, and then the cooties aren't as big a deal...

I loved it. Flack's reaction was amazing. Sofia's cute when she's slow.
