Meme!

Comment to this post with a pairing from one of the fandoms that we share. It can be a general pairing or something unconventional. Het or slash*. It's doesn't matter. I will respond with at least 100 words discussing my opinions, feelings, and thoughts on that particular pairing.

*I don't really slash, but I will give you 100 words on what I think about their relationship from a non-romantic angle.

Fandoms: CSIverse, Heroes, NCIS, House MD, Lost, Supernatural, Numb3rs, Las Vegas, Conviction, Firefly.

Note about NCIS: I haven't seen barely anything with Kate. Like, I saw the episode where she and Tony were quarantined together, so her and Tony's relationship would be the only one I'd be able to comment on.

Ask away.

Nick/Stella. Also, I'd love to hear your take on the Winchester brothers.

Nick/Stella: What I really love about these two is just the fact that they're so cute. Nick just acts like a big goof around her, and she humors him more than picks on him. Plus, they’ve also been through kind of similar situations that they know how far to push without pushing too far. They get each other in a way that most people don’t, which really makes them easy to write together. They were comfortable around each other right off the bat (at least in my head) and Stella’s just good for him in a way that other women he’s been paired with haven’t been. I really like writing them together.

Sam and Dean: What I love so much about Sam and Dean is how they will fight, and bicker, and disagree about every little thing, but if one of them needs the other, they don’t even have to ask. Especially when things get hard. Like in “Heart,” when Madison asked Sam to shoot her? Dean didn’t even have to think about it—he was ready to do it instead to spare Sam the pain. Sam would also go to the end of the world to save Dean from himself. I can’t wait to see how Sam digs him out of the whole he’s gotten himself into this time, but it’s definitely going to be a great trip.

Hmmm, I'm going for an unconventional one I think:

Sayid/Claire

Also your icon is begging me to say

House/Cuddy

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-11 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Sayid/Claire: Huh. They're actually not one I would have thought of, but I think they'd be an interesting pair. Sayid, I think would be very protective of her, and I think he'd be a good father-ish figure to Aaron. Also, I think Claire would be an interesting match for him. She's a bit sunnier than Shannon was, but she's not naive about it. They would have a good balance together. She’s got the same dose of realism in her system, but she’s doesn’t let it drag her down. She tries to keep herself as upbeat as possible, which I think would be a good thing to rub off on Sayid.

House/Cuddy: Dude--they're just hot. What I absolutely love about these two is that House plays things with her like he's a school boy with a crush. He teases her, annoys her, drives her absolutely insane. But she doesn't explode at him about it, she just takes it for what it is, and nothing more. The thing that really bugs me about the House/Cameron relationship is that she feels like in order to be with him, she needs to fix him (at least, that's how it's always come off to me). Cuddy, on the other hand, just accepts that there's nothing she can do to change who he is, and, while she'd never admit it, actually likes him for those reasons. While there's still some things that really piss her off, she deals with it, because she knows that if she needed him, he'd be there--eventually.

CSI:NY - Flack/Lindsay

SIU. Connie/Danny. Because I'm all self-serving like that :)

How about Peter/Claire from Heroes? lolz incest, I know, but I'd like to here your thoughts.

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-11 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Peter/Claire: *sigh* I never really saw Peter/Claire as a ship before we found out that she was Nathan's daughter. I always thought he was too old for her (especially because she's still a minor and everything). However, while I didn't see them romantically speaking, I do like they're relationship. I've always seen him as more of a big brother figure to her, and he fills the role well. Peter seems to need to take care of people more than anything else, and while Claire doesn't necessarily need it, she does need someone with more experience to help look out for her because she is 16/17 years-old. So--I like Peter as a big brother/protective uncle--he fits in the familial role. Not in a more romantic one.

Connie/Danny: Hee. They're adorable. And he's adorable when he's around her, because he's trying to do all the nice guy stuff, which he's not really good at but he's trying to get better with. And she just gets so awkwardly adorable around him and they're just--cute.

And I know that's not 100 words, but--they make me smile. Not sure what more I can say.

Okay, so I'm warped, but Sayid/Ana Lucia. (warped!)

And Libby/Hurley.

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-13 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
Libby/Hurley: Doing them first because I really have to think about the other one. What I loved about Libby and Hurley (and made me so said when they killed Libby off) was how adorable Hurley acted around her. He tried so hard to be the romantic, and be the great guy, and wine her and dine her despite the fact that they were on an island, and if I hadn't been in love with Hurley already, I would have fallen for him then. And that's the truth.

Sayid/Anna Lucia: Well, if Anna Lucia hadn't shot Shannon, I think they might have had an interesting relationship. They both had that kind of militaristic mindset, and were very cool under pressure--most of the time. It was the fact that she killed Shannon that probably made him hate her. And while I was happy that he hated her (made me feel like I wasn't the only one) they could have been good for each other. I think. Somehow. It's just really hard for me to look objectively outside the "I hate her" mindset.

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Tim/Abby: I really like Tim and Abby's friendship. I adore them both individually as well, so that makes the idea of the two of them in a scene together something that makes me happy. They're really good together as friends, and I like the way they joke and bounce off each other. I don't really see them as a ship though. They're just--I feel like they're too good as friends to move into something more. I'd hate to think what would happen if they did go through the relationship and break up in a bad way, what that would do to their friendship, you know what I mean?

Abby/JD: I think Abby would be really good for JD. They both have the same kind of out there personality, and while they're out there in different ways, it's not so much that they would clash. I think they could both keep each other interested for a long time, and not run out of things to talk about, or things to do together. And most importantly, they'll have fun together, which is always something that's fun to see.

Tim/Elliot: They're just crazy cute. I mean, Tim and Elliot have the right balance of good!crazy and logic that they would balance each other out and actually make a pretty good couple. Their personalities wouldn't clash so much as balance each other out. And I think they'd understand the crazy schedules and make the time to see each other if they couldn't.

[identity profile] iluvroadrunner6.livejournal.com 2007-09-18 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Mal/River: Mal/River seems kinda weird to me. I mean, I could definitely see a bit of it watching that episode with the bounty hunter guy? (I'm at a loss for a title right now) Where he's trying to get River, and River's just being generally awesome. Anyway--I can see it, but I get more of an older brother little sister vibe for the two of them. It seems like the more natural relationship, I guess? But I do owe you a first kiss fic with the two of them. Which I will get to you. As soon as my muse decided she likes staying in my head.

Flack/Lindsay: Flack and Lindsay have a balance. She's got her issues and her past to deal with, and Flack kind of balances her out by being kind of a constant in their relationship. Not to say that Flack wouldn't have his own issues to deal with, but by far he's the steadier character out of him and Danny. While I can see her and Danny having kind of a fling, there's nothing really there that gives me any indication it's going to last very long. When it comes to Flack, I can see them having a much stronger, longer relationship. They've got a balance.

Colby/Megan: I loved their friendship first. Because in the beginning I was all for Larry/Megan, hardcore, but once I got Larry/Megan, I began to notice Colby a little more. They both joined the team at around the same time, and they have this great banter kind of friendship which'll hook me in a heart beat if it's done well. They just have this easy, kind of natural flow to their relationship, and that's something I always love in a ship. Basically? They play to all my kinks in a really cool way, and that's why I love them.
