this is gonna sound a little weird, but i need to rant...

before i start, i have no idea how vaild any spoilers are at this point, i'm just bouncing off what i'm hearing.

CSI is the first show where i've actually shipped characters because those kinds of relationships i never say as having a place in the shows. so, i would get to have fun and use my imagination to get all these characters into these crazy situations, and...mostly, except when i'm feeling angsty...they live happily ever after. i can take their relationship, and put my own spin on it, my own style to it, and have my own little AU thing going for me.

now when i hear things like they're making D/L canon and see things like the GSR scene at the end of s6, it upsets me because that's basically TPTB's way of taking the imagination out of my ship. i would prefer it not to happen at all and have the flirting and the innuendo, and actually see it happen.

what would really piss me off is if this newfound canon ship occured at the "you still want that ride" moment at the end of s2. because that shouldn't have happened. they should have both been there with their friend, no matter what mac or anyone else had said. they should have been there for flack instead of off doing whatever else they were with each other. that pissed me off.
