OC Backstory - Jenny Templand
For those of you new to my f-list, i'm a pretty big fan of the original character. There are many of them, and I try to slip them in everywhere I can, and my brain has been tossing around a lot of them for the Supernatural fandom. I'm trying to finish a few other things before I get started on really writing them, but I usually post bios for all my OCs, so I figured I'd post them as I finish them. Now--this is just an idea I'm toying with, so if any SPN fans think they're a bit farfetched, let me know, before I start writing them.

Parents: Roxanne Templand, father unknown

Jennifer Templand had been raised from birth in the hunter lifestyle. Because of who her mother was and her abilities, she developed abilities of her own, but slightly different. She can teleport short distances, giving her an advantage in a fight, but the limits on it are a very small radius around her. From an early age, she was trained in hand to hand combat, weaponry, and other special tricks that came with hunting and self-defense against the supernatural. She’s not big on doing it unless it really is self-defense, and is trying to keep herself as off the radar as possible.
She attended school not to far from her home in California. It was a public school, because there wasn’t much more her mother could afford, and she played in various high school sports, helping keep her in shape without missing too much school and she got an athletic based scholarship to a local college. While generally a fan of higher education, Roxanne let her attend with some reservation, making her promise that if something—not normal—were to come up, back home would be the first place she called.
While Roxanne was her biological mother, Jenny never refers to her as her mother, or by any of the terms of endearment usually associated with it. Because of their lifestyle, Roxanne wasn’t there to actually raise Jenny, and Jenny found more of a maternal figure in the matriarch of sorts of their little group, a woman named Maura “Mama” Shea. She was raised in Mama’s house, with a motley crew of hunters that they had become over the years, and they were, in essence, her family. She’d never refer to them as such, but that’s who they were.
Her strengths are more in hand-to-hand combat then with weaponry, because she can use her abilities to her advantage. She prefers to get up close and personal rather than far away. However, if the job calls for weaponry, she can do it; she’s just not as skilled. She’s a health food freak. She rarely ever touches chocolate or candy, and will usually eat a salad or some other healthier alternative, making her frustrating to take on the road. She’s a bit paranoid, more rooted in how she was raised, and will usually attack first, ask questions later.
She’s also very protective of her little clan, and their ideals. Being one of the few of them that can actually blend into normal society, she’ll stick up for them in an instant when other hunters come their way, especially when it comes to the more complicated friends. She’s convinced that no hunter is ever going to believe that they’re not out for evil, and distrusts them more than most other people she encounters, the exception being demons, because she knows demons are the most likely to fuck with your head. Out of all of them, she’s closest to the twins, Nate and Luke Wallace, who she considers brothers.

Noah Walker - Telepath; Noah doesn't usually go into the field much. He's not really a fighter, but can defend himself if necessary. Jenny and Noah aren't particularly close, but she can get protective of him because of that fact.
Gina Ranghetti - Gina is what Jenny considers the closest thing a big sister. Gina is the only "normal" one among them, and because of her gung ho, kill first ask questions later mentality, she might have hunted them all down, had she not fallen for Noah first. Jenny thinks they're the most mismatched couple in history, but she's happy for them. She sees how happy they make each other.
Seth Hawthorne - Werewolf; Seth is Roxanne's boyfriend of sorts. Their relationships itself is pretty ambigous. Seth and his older sister Maria were bit when he was three years old and she was five, and over the years, they've learned to manipulate the wolf's bloodlust/need to kill to their advantage during the hunt. If he's not on a hunt, during the changes he's locked into Mama's basement as a precaution. Maria, however, lost herself's to the wolf's needs, and she's now considered AWOL, no one has heard from her since.
