Lindsay's being polite. I'd go with crazy. However, Darren makes a pretty good first impression, I believe.

Both in manners and his ability to deal with his insane bickering colleagues. And why am I not surprised that Cassavelli and Aiden didn't get along?

Oh, I've been meaning to tell you, I found 'Me Talk Pretty One Day' and it was hilarious. I was snickering helplessly as I read it, prompting my mother to ask me (with some concern) whether I was laughing or crying. I absolutely loved the Rooster and the family pets. I have also decided that as frustrating as certain members of my family can be, they're not that bad. At least they're quiet. And more or less sane.

cassavelli and aiden...that's something i'll have to get into another time. and darren tends to make a good first impression, when he's not done up in a skirt and high heels.

and i love Sedaris's family. the Rooster was my favorite too. in one of the other books, he writes about his brother's wedding, which was definitely an interesting experience.

i'm glad you liked them both.
