A few things about the current ship war....
That I'm putting behind a cut, because I know I shouldn't be sticking my nose in this to begin with, but I feel like I have to say something, and if it's just in my own journal, hopefully I won't get yelled at much.
This may get things thrown at me, but I'm not on DL's side on this one. Not that I'm specifically on the DFers side either, but I think everyones blowing this a bit too far out of proportion.
- First of all, the show itself is fiction. If Danny and Lindsay don't wind up together in the end, it's not going to start Armageddon. Also, if you watch the show purely for the Danny/Lindsay relationship--you're missing out on a hell of a show, in my opinion.
- Second of all, it's just an interview with an actor who's input and has relatively small bearing on where the storyline is going to go--a storyline that, I also may point out, is barely written yet. And that's what the writers have been talking with him about for right now. For all Carmine knows, Lindsay could wind up dumping Danny at the end of the season for the simple reason that he's bad in bed. (While that may not seem like a realistic response to sleeping with Danny, hey, it could happen.) Not every story has a happy ending, and I have a feeling that Danny's and Lindsay's wasn't built to be, looking just soley at the people involved.
- Thirdly, while I still think that Kristine's reviews are a bit too biased for my taste an interviewer is allowed to slant her interviews a certain way. It may not be the way you want them to be slanted, but generally speaking they ask questions about how things are going to effect them and people who share their similar viewpoint. That's why when getting information on something, you choose the media outlet that reflects your point of view as is your right. News stations, newspapers, they all do it. It's not bad journalism. True, they have to be unbiased to an extent. For example, only printing malicious slander on a candidate for president that you think is unfit for office is not so good. However, asking that candidate questions about issues that are relevant to your own concerns, is not. That being said, you can choose to read, or choose not to read. If you get pissed at what Carmine said, fine. That's your right. Don't accuse her of twisting his words or forcing the issue, just because you don't like what he said. While you can yell at me, saying that you had reasons to imply that (I'd want to know what they are though) from the initial comments that I read, people were exhibiting some piss poor behavior about this.
- In my opinion, the question about Flack was a throwaway question for laughs. If what you ship causes you to read more into that question, that's fine, whatever.
Now things have calmed down a bit, and the frenzy isn't as bad as it used to be (I think), but I needed to get that out. Read it if you want, comment if you want, whatever. This was more for me than anything else.

On another note, is Alyssa Milano your model for Hilary M?

And yes, she is. I thought they'd look pretty together.

Amen to that. ;)

I thought that too... thanks for the post. Some people on my f-list have really gone too far.

I just can't believe that they can't even be fair to the other side.
Both both sides are sort of unfair, although to be honest the DL shippers are getting more out of hand.

That being said, most of the DF posts that I've read, have done nothing to attack the DL ship, but done more of responding to the attacks against them.

But the attack of DL shippers towards the DF shippers is really harsh and it's just not fair. And DL shippers are doing it to specific people as well and it's just mean. But you're right, the whole of DF is getting attacked and the DL shippers are still doing it! :\
I hate online drama. I really don't understand why people do it...

Can't we just accept our differences and enjoy the fandom?

We should. We really should.
If only people would stop the bitching.
